  • Patent number: 11865233
Abstract: An air treatment system is provided which includes an appliance and a replaceable cartridge installable therein. The replaceable cartridge contains a liquid compound to be aerosolized and has a cartridge outlet through which the aerosolized compound is discharged during operation. A pump is provided to supply air to the replaceable cartridge to generate the aerosolized compound from the liquid compound contained in the replaceable cartridge, and a controller is provided for controlling the pump to supply the air to the replaceable cartridge to generate and discharge the aerosolized compound from the appliance. The appliance is particularly adapted to be plugged into an electrical wall outlet to be supported by the same within a room for treating the interior air space thereof.

  • Patent number: 11033651
Abstract: A method of maintaining a desired level of a dispersed liquid within an occupiable semi-enclosed space is provided. The method includes: providing a liquid diffusion appliance including a liquid to be dispersed; operating the liquid diffusion appliance to disperse the liquid into the occupiable semi-enclosed space throughout a treatment period in which the occupiable space is subjected to entry and exit of occupants to and from the occupiable semi-enclosed space; sensing the concentration of one or more chemical components of the dispersed liquid within the occupiable semi-enclosed space; and modifying the operation of the liquid diffusion appliance based on the concentration of the one or more chemical components of the dispersed liquid within the occupiable semi-enclosed space to achieve a desired concentration.

  • Patent number: 10294935
Abstract: A removable cartridge for use with a liquid diffusion device is provided. The removable cartridge includes a cartridge housing defining an internal housing cavity, partially filled with a liquid to be diffused, and a diffusion head positioned within the internal housing cavity with a venturi device for generating diffused liquid from the liquid contained in the internal housing cavity. The diffusion head defines at least a portion of a gas supply conduit that extends from a bottom end of the removable cartridge to the venturi device through the liquid to be diffused to enable the venturi device to be supplied with pressurized gas from an external source via the bottom end of the removable cartridge.

  • Patent number: 10172970
Abstract: A method of maintaining a desired level of an aerosolized compound within a space to be treated with the compound, the method including providing a diffusion device with the compound in liquid form and a control system for operating the device. The control system includes a sensor in fluid communication with the air within the space to be treated configured to sense the concentration of the compound aerosolized within the space. The diffusion device is operated to diffuse the compound into the space. The concentration of the compound within the space to be treated is sensed with the sensor and operation of the diffusion device is altered based on the concentration of the compound sensed to achieve a desired concentration of compound within the space. The sensing and operation altering steps are repeated periodically to maintain the desired concentration of the compound within the space.

  • Patent number: 9745976
Abstract: An insert of a cartridge for use with a liquid diffusing device is provided. The insert includes a body, an inlet provided in the body to receive diffused liquid generated within the cartridge during operation of the liquid diffusing device, an outlet zone defined at least in part by the body through which to discharge the diffused liquid toward an external environment, and a tortuous passage extending between the inlet and the outlet zone to aid in further reducing an average particle size of the diffused liquid as the diffused liquid moves through the tortuous passage. Removable cartridges for use with a diffusion device are also provided which include such an insert.
