Patent number: 4624164Abstract: A hydraulic shearing machine for cutting steel sheets and the like in which the lower blade is fixed between two vertical end-plates of the frame while the upper blade is carried by a movable apron. The support provided for the lower cutting blade consists of a hollow box which extends horizontally between the vertical end-plates of the shearing-machine frame and only the ends of which are attached to the frame. The lower blade is fixed against one of the side walls of the support box so as to be displaced with respect to the theoretical center of rotation of said support box about its own axis. In consequence, the vertical forces exerted on the lower blade at the time of utilization of the shearing machine tend to produce a twisting movement of the support box, thus providing compensation for the horizontal flexural displacement of the box under the action of the horizontal forces.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1985Date of Patent: November 25, 1986Assignee: Promecam Sisson-LehmannInventor: Rene Passa

Patent number: 4534203Abstract: Punches having attachment heels of different types are mounted on a bending press by means of an adapter consisting of a bar or a series of bar segments secured to the top die-shoe of the press. The bottom portion of the adapter body is provided in one vertical face with a recess of greater depth than any type of punch attachment heel. A bearing spacer having the same height as the adapter body recess is placed against the punch heel either at the bottom of the recess or in an external position. The spacer and heel of the corresponding punch are held in position by a cramp which is tightly applied against the adapter body on the same side as the recess opening.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 1984Date of Patent: August 13, 1985Assignee: Promecam Sisson-LehmannInventor: Pierre Cros

Patent number: 4449389Abstract: This device for bending the tool holder of a folding press comprises structure for controlling the deformation of the wedge secured at either end, in the form of a hollow screw engaged in a socket rigid with the tool holder so that it can accomplish movements of translation within this socket, a member for fastening the screw to the wedge, a sprocket mounted coaxially to the screw on the screw-threaded shank thereof for causing the translation of the screw in the socket, and a single driving system for controlling the rotation of the set of sprockets acting at different thrust points disposed at spaced intervals along the wedge, this single wedge having a relatively great length and being therefore easily deformable under the control of the single control system.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 1982Date of Patent: May 22, 1984Assignee: Promecam Sisson-LehmannInventor: Pierre Cros

Patent number: 4331020Abstract: This dimension indicator for sheet-metal folding, bending or shearing machine tools comprises a measuring apparatus capable of displaying the distance from the adjustable stop member provided for positioning the workpiece to a reference plane. The device comprises structure for correcting the consequence of a displacement of the reference plane, in the form of a mechanical device coupled to the machine adjustment member and adapted to act directly or indirectly upon one of the component elements of a coupling or a data transmission disposed between the member controlling the stop member and the measuring apparatus, so as to actuate this apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 1980Date of Patent: May 25, 1982Assignee: Promecam Sisson-LehmannInventor: Pierre G. Patent number: 4252041Abstract: The shearing machine comprises a stationary apron and a moving apron carried by lateral upright members and provided with cutting blades, the moving apron being guided at both ends by means of roller devices adapted to cooperate with guide ramps mounted on bottom lateral extensions of the moving apron. The guiding devices are placed substantially at the level of the horizontal cutting plane while another guiding device is located in the bottom portion of the shearing machine. The extensions are adapted to receive and transmit the cutting power developed by jacks mounted on the stationary apron.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 1979Date of Patent: February 24, 1981Assignee: Promecam Sisson-LehmannInventor: Pierre G. Patent number: 4006623Abstract: A positioning device comprises a moving carriage for supporting members which serve to position a part to be machined and the position of which is determined by an adjustable stop. The device consists of a rotary drum provided with a series of studs of variable length, each stud being moved in turn opposite to a movable bearing member which is coupled with the carriage by means of a motion-reduction mechanism so that the range of motion of the bearing member is smaller than the range of motion of the carriage and in a predetermined ratio.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 1975Date of Patent: February 8, 1977Assignee: Promecam Sisson-LehmannInventor: Paul Cailloux
