Abstract: A system permitting virtual server images to be reused and repurposed to provide for different application environments for performance-based testing by providing a plurality of virtual hard drive images.
Abstract: A system and method for computer-based testing includes a test driver that controls delivery of a computer-based test to one or more test candidates and that controls caching of test components during delivery of the test. The system includes various monitoring components, including monitoring of candidate progress, candidate performance, network bandwidth, network latency and server response, during delivery of the test and adjusting the source of the test components or the volume of the test components being cached for delivery of the test. Based upon this monitoring of the system, for example, if network communication failure is detected, the test candidate is able to continue computer-based testing while connectivity is being reestablished.

Abstract: A computer-based method for facilitating a computer-based test is provided. The method includes storing a test question in a memory of a server facility coupled to a network, associating a unique identifier with the test question, generating a traceable test question based on the test question and the unique identifier, the traceable test question including the unique identifier, and sending the traceable test question to a test taker computer coupled to the network for display to the test taker.
Abstract: A system for computer-based testing for producing a test and delivering the test to an examinee includes a storage device that has a first storage location, which stores a first segment of a test definition language, and a second storage location, which stores a second segment of the test definition language, a validation expansion module that validates the first segment and the second segment of the test definition language, a test packager that amalgamates the first storage location and the second storage location and transmits the amalgamated segment to the validation expansion module such that the validation expansion module can determine whether the amalgamated segment forms a complete and valid set, and a test driver that has an executable code that controls functionality that enables the test driver to deliver the test to an examinee.

The computer-based test provides for producing a test and delivering the test to an examinee.
Abstract: A memory stores a plurality of first data structures, which includes element specific data objects indicating a classification of at least one of the plurality of segments of the test definition language, and second data structures, which include attribute specific data objects indicating at least one attribute of the segments of the test definition language implemented by a computer. A method for computer-based testing includes authoring a test specification and content of the at least one test using a test definition language, compiling the test specification and content of the at least one test to create a compiled test specification and content, which includes validating the test specification and content, storing the compiled test specification and content to a resource file, and retrieving the compiled test specification and content from the resource file during delivery of the test.
