Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for automatically managing multiple types of applications, electronic forms, electronic forms data instances, network services and, network services. The methods and systems allow organizations with a mobile workforce that relies on established business processes to execute timely and secure exchange of information while providing easy to use, fast, accurate and flexible information capture capability in the field. These organizations and/or third-party providers may optimize the design of mobile applications to better match existing corporate processes and forms in order to reflect existing business needs, preferred graphical user interfaces, processes and experiences on the mobile devices.

An example method includes providing a customizable mobile-form application template. A web-based interface is provided allowing creation of a customized mobile-form application from the customizable mobile-form application template by selecting a data field for inclusion on the customizable mobile-form application template. The customized mobile-form application may then be distributed to the mobile device.

Abstract: A method for efficient data entry in a field of an electronic form displayed on a mobile device screen is disclosed. The method comprises a user selecting a camera function using a camera selector and taking a picture of information. Selectable text is extracted from the picture and displayed in a data entry screen where the form is displayed. The user selects a one or more elements from the selectable text; and the selected elements are inserted into the field.

Abstract: A method and system for providing real-time display of data collected and submitted via mobile devices. An example method includes collecting data in a data record by the mobile device. The collected data record is submitted to a remote server. At least some of the data in the collected data record is displayed in real-time relative to the submission of the collected data record via an interface.

Abstract: A method of displaying an electronic form on a mobile device comprises creating one or more repeatable items comprising a plurality of fields to be filled or displayed wherein one or more of the fields may include another one or more repeatable item. A method of displaying an electronic form on a mobile device having a screen and managed by an operating system comprises attaching a visual priority to one or more fields used in the electronic form; obtaining the current mobile device screen size; and adapting the number of fields to be displayed on the screen based on the screen size and on visual priority attached to one or more of the fields. In one implementation, a minimum width is set for each of the one or more fields, and the fields that can meet the minimum width based on the current mobile device screen size are displayed.

Abstract: A central dispatch system for transmitting a service call from a consumer to a service provider includes a central resolution system coupled to a plurality of location specific resolution systems. Each of the location specific resolution systems is coupled with a location specific forms database. The central dispatch system creates a query to the central resolution system comprising a location of the service call and one or more tags to the central resolution system submits the query to one of the plurality of location specific resolution system based on the location of the service call. The local resolution system prepares a service request for one of the service providers comprising one or more forms selected based on the tags. The forms may be pre-filled with information provided by the consumer to the central dispatch system.

Abstract: A method for defining and constraining the behavior of a shared, mobile content management system is disclosed. The method includes providing an admin console for defining, modifying, and managing declarative policies. Declarative policies are defined based on an XML policy model. The XML policy model dictates the policies that can be expressed by the admin console. The defined declarative policies are enacted without requiring the content management system to be restarted, reconfigured, or re-implemented. An XML-based policy wizard definition language is provided to define policy wizards in the admin console that guide an administrator through the steps of creating and editing the policies. Additionally, at least one policy repository based on LDAP is provided. The at least one policy repository has an interface and is adapted to store a plurality of declarative policies. The policy repository has scalable and distributed capabilities.
