Abstract: A valve includes a valve body including a first fluid, a second fluid port, and an interior passage fluidly connecting the first and second fluid ports, a bore extending inwardly of the valve body and terminating in an annular first seat securement surface extending around the interior passage, the second fluid port fluidly connected to the bore, a cage disposed in the bore, the cage having an annular second seat securement surface and an opposed first annular surface, the annular second seat securement surface facing the annular first seat securement surface, a cover extending over the first wall of the valve body and including a cage engagement surface contacting the first annular surface, and an annular seat having a main body having an opening therethrough and comprising a first annular region having a first elevation and a second annular region having a second elevation different than the first annular region.

Abstract: A pressure relief valve includes a valve body including a monitored pressure inlet leading to a monitored pressure region, a piston having a shear seal bore and a surface facing the monitored pressure region, a vent passage and a the shear seal assembly comprising a seal plate having a sealing surface thereon, and the shear seal assembly includes a sealing surface facing the seal plate and having a first annular area, and a first surface having an annular surface area at least twice as large as the first area of the sealing surface, the first surface facing away from the first area, and a biasing seal in contact with the first surface.

Abstract: A choke includes a cage having a plurality of openings extending therethrough, a first fluid port and a second fluid port, the openings in the cage fluidly interposed between the first and second fluid ports, and a selectively positionable blocking member positioned with respect to the openings to selectively overlie all of a portion of the openings, wherein the surface of the opening extending through the cage are a single crystal material. The single crystal material may be provided as an insert, having an opening therethrough, secured in position with respect to the cage.

Abstract: A pressure regulator includes a regulated fluid volume, at least one vent passage and fluid supply passage, a dampening piston bore and a regulated fluid volume outlet passage, a regulated fluid pressure piston having a first surface side exposed to the regulated fluid volume, and a second surface side exposed outwardly of the body, an external biasing member contactable with the piston and providing a force on the piston inwardly of the body, a gate connected to the piston, a dampening piston disposed in the dampening piston bore, the dampening piston disposed between a dampening and regulated fluid volumes and including a recess including a band therein having at least one gap therethrough, the gap in the band forming a passage between the dampening piston and the piston bore communicable with a volume exterior to the region between the dampening piston and the piston bore.

Abstract: A directional control valve for selectively communicating a valve outlet to one of a vent port and a pressure supply port includes a poppet extending through a cage. Relative positioning of the poppet to the cage selects which of the vent and pressure supply port is communicated to the valve outlet. The poppet position relative to the cage is provided by supplying fluid pressure to one of the opposed sides thereof, and the poppet latches with the cage so that the fluid pressure on one of the sides of the poppet need not be maintained to maintain the poppet position in the valve.
