Abstract: Provided herein are nutritional compositions, regimens and methods for the prevention, mitigation, and treatment of a cholesterol abnormality. In some embodiments, the invention comprises combinations of niacin (precursor), and at least one ingredient selected from the group consisting of: an Omega-3 fatty acid, Omega-3 fatty acid precursor, or Omega-3 fatty acid derivative, and: a plant sterol, a plant sterol precursor, or a plant sterol derivative. In other embodiments, the combination includes all three of those ingredients.
Abstract: The invention comprises a puzzle including elements arranged in rows and columns, each element being rotatable about first and second perpendicular axes. The first axis of each element is parallel and co-planar to the first axes of every other element. Similarly, the second axis of each element is parallel and co-planar to the second axes of every other element. The puzzle also preferably includes a case that restrains non-rotational movement of each element and a linkage that forces rotation of all other elements in any one row to rotate about their respective first axes when any one of the elements in that row is rotated about its first axis. The linkage also forces rotation of all elements a column to rotate about their respective second axes when any one of the elements in that column is rotated about its second axis.
Abstract: A puzzle preferably including a case and a plurality of elements contained therein, each having at least one recess (preferably six) formed thereon. Each of the elements is secured in a fixed position relative to the case and rotatable about at least two, and preferably three, perpendicular axes of rotation. Each of the plurality of elements has a starting position from which the element can be rotated about any one of the axes of rotation. Rotation of each element is limited to one of the axes of rotation when the element is not in the starting position. At least one insert (preferably one less in number than the total number of recesses in the elements) is provided. Each insert includes first and second opposing surfaces that are adapted to be received in any one of the recesses.
