Patents Assigned to Protomed
  • Patent number: 8157838
Abstract: A device for delivering a plug (1) in a vessel of a human or animal body, includes an inserter provided with a guiding channel (4) and elements for urging the plug into the channel (4), characterized in that the channel (4) is adapted for radially compressing the plug during the displacement thereof towards the distal end of the channel (4). The compression of the plug (1) is carried out only a few seconds before its placement while respecting the integrity thereof. The elasticity characteristics of the plug (1) are thus fully preserved. The present device can be used in open surgery or endoscopy, mainly in vascular surgery.

  • Patent number: 7828834
Abstract: A device for connection between previously intubed ends of a corporeal duct and a substantially tubular prosthesis. The device can be a meshed structure, such as a mesh sleeve, that is deformable by means of a balloon catheter and capable of radial expansion between a stable configuration of minimum diameter and a final configuration after expansion that is likewise stable. A series of teeth for transfixing overlapping parts of the sleeve, uniformly aligned in a ring formation and radially oriented, can be found at each end of the mesh structure. The teeth are of a hemostatic profile including a base part with a circular cross-section extended by a trihedral terminal portion.

  • Publication number: 20100249895
Abstract: Implantation device for implanting a prosthesis (110) in a vessel (1), including a balloon (128) and a dilation catheter (120) for supplying fluid to the balloon (128), the dilation catheter (120) having a proximal end, a distal end (124) and a distal part designed to be introduced into the vessel (1), characterised in that the distal part includes a bend (123) and also an upstream portion (121) and a downstream portion (122) that are contiguous to the bend and that are arranged between the bend and, respectively, the proximal end and the distal end (124).
