Abstract: A method and system are provided whereby a request for proposals for professional services may be posted on a computer network, e.g., the internet, and professional service providers respond with proposals for their respective services. A user enters a proposal for professional services on a web-site of the computer network. The proposal is received by a first service provider at the site, who responds with a first proposal. The proposal is also received by at least one additional service provider at the site, who responds with a second proposal. The user receives the first and second proposals, and any additional proposals, at the site. The user then evaluates the proposals and selects one of the proposals.
