A determination is made whether the orientation information detected corresponds to a predetermined motion pattern or orientation for collecting event stamp information. The event stamp information may include a location and/or other event information. If the detected orientation and/or motion patterns is detected, the event stamp information is automatically collected in response to the determination, and the event stamp information is is at least temporarily stored.

Alternatively, a purchase of an item related to the event may be automatically made in response to activating the event stamp.
