Patent number: 5215121Abstract: A tube separator comprises an inlet and an outlet to define a flow direction from the inlet to the outlet, shut-off means arranged between the inlet and the outlet for connecting the inlet with the outlet in a first position thereof and for disconnecting the inlet from the outlet in a second position thereof, control means for operating the shut-off means and a non-return valve at the outlet for blocking or allowing fluid flow from the inlet to the outlet. The shut-off means comprises a shut-off member being arranged in the shut-off means for rotation around an axis perpendicular to the flow direction from a first rotational position to a second rotational position thereof, and a bore is provided in the shut-off member for connecting the inlet with the outlet in the first rotational position and for disconnecting the inlet from the outlet in the second rotational position.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 1992Date of Patent: June 1, 1993Assignee: PruferInventor: Peter Michl

Patent number: 5207678Abstract: For a pedicle screw a receiver member is provided for hingedly connecting a screw (2) comprising a threaded shaft portion (3) and a spherical-segment-shaped head (4) on the one hand and a rod (16) on the other hand. In order to improve the stocking costs for screws of different shaft lengths and shaft diameters, the receiver member has a receiver chamber (7) therein, the receiver chamber has a bore (8) at one end thereof for passing the threaded shaft portion (3) followed by an inner hollow spherical-segment-shaped portion (9) for supporting the head of the screw (2) to be received, and an aperture (10) on the side opposite to the bore (8) for inserting the screw (2). Further, a compression member (18) is provided which exerts, in assembled state, a force onto the head such that the head is pressed against the hollow spherical-segment-shaped portion (9).Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 1992Date of Patent: May 4, 1993Assignee: PruferInventors: Jurgen Harms, Lutz Biedermann

Patent number: 5133497Abstract: In a container such as a cardboard container for packaging milk which comprises sidewalls, a bottom flap and a top flap as well as an ear to be folded down around a folding edge for forming a pouring spout the problem is encountered that, for opening the container, an outer portion of the ear has to be cut away and, after opening the container, no reclosure is possible, but the pouring spout remains open and may be a source of pollution. In order to obviate this problem the ear of the inventive container comprises a socket member projecting from the ear at the surface thereof adjacent to the folding edge and facing a sidewall of the container, and there is an aperture provided in the facing sidewall for receiving the socket member. In this manner, the socket member forms a reclosable pouring spout of the container.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 1991Date of Patent: July 28, 1992Assignee: Dipl. - Physiker Lutz H. Patent number: 4472050Abstract: A copying apparatus is disclosed in which an information derived from an external information source may be combined with an original to be copied. The imaging arrangement of the copying apparatus comprises an arrangement for blocking at least selected portions of the light path between the original and the image to be formed by the imaging optics. The light path blocking arrangement is preferably formed by an LCD-layer associated with the platen on which the original to be copied is laid, the LCD-element being placed under the control of the external information source.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 1984Date of Patent: September 18, 1984Assignee: Lutz H.
