  • Patent number: 11976530
Abstract: The pipe wiper assembly of the present invention assists with wiping the pipe as the pipe is removed from the hole (“tripped out”). The pipe passes through the two pipe apertures of the pipe wiper assembly during the removal. Two upper containment arms adjust between an open position and a closed position within the housing to form the upper pipe aperture. The lower containment lip forms the lower piper aperture. The upper containment arms and lower containment lip partially enclose the housing to prevent the wiper from exiting the wiper storage. The containment arms slideably adjust to eliminate the need for hinges. The removal of the hinges provides for easier storage and transportation of the pipe wiper assembly. The removal of hinges also reduces manufacturing costs of the pipe wiper assembly.

  • Patent number: 11976523
Abstract: The trip system closely monitors and ensures that the hydrostatic pressure of the wellbore stays consistent throughout the tripping process, stripping process, and axial pipe operations. The core components of the system include, but are not limited to, an advanced automation system that controls a back-pressure device, including but not limited to a choke, a rotary ball valve, or other flow control devices. The automation system also monitors upstream and downstream flow measurement components. The trip system also provides a pump system to circulate drilling fluid from the trip tank across the top of the wellhead and/or at a lower portion below the RCD.

  • Patent number: 11840894
Abstract: The connector body attaches to the bowl for a rotating head assembly. The connector body welded to the bowl secures the conductor pipe to the bowl. An inner aperture of the connector body accepts the bowl and the conductor pipe. Fasteners insert into the connector body to secure the conductor pipe within the connector body. An attachment shoulder that extends inward from the outer wall narrows the inner aperture. The bowl rests on top of the attachment shoulder. The bowl inserts vertically downward into an upper opening of the connector body to the attachment shoulder. The conductor pipe inserts into a lower opening of the connector body. The fasteners insert radially into the connector body to secure the conductor pipe within the connector body. The attachment shoulder limits movement of the bowl and the conductor pipe within the inner aperture of the connector body.

  • Patent number: 11761288
Abstract: The swivel device attaches to a bowl or is implemented as a component of the bowl. The swivel device enables adjustment of the bowl to align the outlet with the flowline. A flange of the swivel device includes multiple fastener apertures for securing the flange to the stack. The swivel device secures the bowl to the stack while allowing rotation of the bowl. Rotation of the bowl adjusts the positioning of the outlet to align the outlet with the flowline for connecting the outlet to the flowline.

  • Patent number: 11719057
Abstract: This system maintains bottom hole pressure and constant well bore pressure profile for a period of time in event of loss of power to rig pumps, rig pump failure or other loss of pressure to the primary flowline. The back pressure system diverts mud into the primary flowline to maintain pressure. The system provides time to get the diesel powered cement unit on line to maintain pressure or get the power reinstated to the rig pumps. The mud discharged into the primary flowline can be recovered back into the housing via the housing inlet line and the housing can be recharged via the N2 high pressure bottle rack. The back pressure system installs upstream of the MPD chokes with interfaces to the primary flow line to divert the drilling mud to the primary flowline.

  • Patent number: 11719059
Abstract: The modular managed pressured drilling system provides multiple skids with individual chokes and PRVs on the skids. These skids secure to one another to construct a modular MPD system that provides the proper equipment for the drilling operation. An inlet flow junction and an outlet flow junction are secured to each skid. The flow junctions provide multiple ports to provide different pathways for the drilling fluid through the flow junctions. The flow junctions may direct the fluid through a first choke, a second choke, a pressure relief valve, or a bypass.

  • Patent number: 11702901
Abstract: An improved top pot assembly utilizes an attachment body for attaching the rubber to a bearing assembly for rotation with the inner barrel. The attachment body simplifies the replacement of the rubber on the drilling assembly. The attachment body provides a guide that slopes downward into the central aperture and the bore to guide the mandrel and drilling string towards the bore. The attachment body also provides a stripper receiver for attachment of the rubber to the attachment body. The attachment body attaches to the housing which attaches to the bearing assembly for rotation of the rubber and the inner barrel.

  • Patent number: 11643889
Abstract: The debris catch provides a strainer located downstream of a rotating control device (RCD) within a flow line. The strainer is located between the RCD and at least one protected component. The strainer limits the debris and other junk that flows to protected components located downstream of the strainer. A first sensor and a second sensor detect the pressure differential between a location before the strainer and at the strainer. The two sensors detect a clog in the strainer. The strainer is removable through an access outlet for clearing the clog and reinstalling a strainer for continued drilling operation. A purge valve located in the system also allows clearing of the strainer by releasing the debris through a purge outlet located on a pathway separate from the pathway to the protected component.

  • Patent number: 11619531
Abstract: A system and method of maintaining back pressure located downstream of the Coriolis meter maintains the pressure downstream of the Coriolis meter in relation to the surface back pressure (SBP). At least one flow control device is located downstream of the Coriolis meter. The flow control device of the present invention (the BPV) automatically maintains the downstream pressure to less than or equal to fifty percent (50%) of the surface back pressure. A pressure regulator sets the back pressure to allow for a standalone device. Additional valves allow adjustment of the back pressure and allow for pressure relief and full flow bypass.

  • Patent number: 11613946
Abstract: A pressure relieve valve (PRV) secures to the rotating control device (RCD) in a drilling operation. The PRV located at rig flowline secures to a PRV line, such as PRV piping that bypasses the MPD choke, MPD system, UBD systems, and other flow control device(s). The outlet of the RCD is routed via the pressure relief valve to discharge to a safe contained area. Such discharge relieves overpressure of the wellbore to a contained environment via the rig flowline.

  • Patent number: 11591878
Abstract: The fluid containment system attaches to the wellhead below the rotating control device to catch fluids. The fluid containment system provides a pan below the outlet of the body in which the rotating head assembly is secured. A curtain attaches to the fluid containment system to at least partially enclose the wellhead. The curtain directs the escaped fluids to the pan. An opening in the curtain provides an outlet for the body allowing fluids within the pipe to flow from the body. Conduits attach to outlets of the pan to transfer the fluids from the pan to a tank.

  • Patent number: 11555362
Abstract: A managed Pressure Drilling manifold provides accurate back pressure control of a well head when drilling. The MPD system provides two paths for the drilling fluid to flow from the RCD to the flowline. The drilling fluid flows along an MPD path sending the drilling fluids through at least one sensor, preferably three sensors, a flow control device, and a flowmeter. The MPD system also provides a bypass path that isolates the flow control device and flowmeter while direct the drilling fluid from the RCD to the bypass to avoid the flow control device and flowmeter. The MPD system provides three valves that direct the drilling fluid in the bypass path or the MPD path.

  • Patent number: 11486220
Abstract: The tall flange rubber adapter attaches to the inner barrel of a rotating head assembly. A rubber attaches to the tall flange rubber adapter. The rubber secured to the rubber adapter also rotates with the inner barrel thus maintaining the seal with the drill string to divert the drilling fluid from the well to the outlet flange. Fasteners install upward into the adapter and the inner barrel to secure the rubber adapter with the inner barrel. The increased height of the rubber adapter provides additional surface for the fastener to contact. The increased contact of the fastener with the tall flange maintains the fastener within the rubber adapter and the inner barrel to limit fasteners from falling downhole into the drilling area.
