The clamp includes a thruster cylinder configured to be rotatably received through the clamp body and having threads that engage a screw so that when the thruster cylinder rotates, the screw is advanced or retracted to move the thruster plate into and out of engagement with the support. A knob is used to rotate the thruster cylinder. The clamp includes a friction washer or collet located between the thruster cylinder and the clamp body. The clamp is configured so that when the thruster plate engages the support, further axial movement of the screw is prevented and further rotation of the knob and thruster cylinder compresses the friction washer or collet.

Drawers may be accommodated within a module. A lock on a single drawer can secure all other drawers and modules on one side of the vertical support. An uninterruptable power supply can e incorporated into an enclosed, ventilated module and located at an attachment point low on the vertical support to maintain a low center of gravity while supplying portable power to electronic instruments carried on the vertical support.

    Abstract: A support for an ambulatory patient has a hub member with a mounting device for mounting the hub member on a vertical IV pole of a wheeled IV stand. An arcuate hand grip member is secured to the hub member and radially spaced from the mounting device for gripping by an ambulatory patient receiving medication from an IV bottle on the stand. A downwardly facing, U-shaped channel is provided on the hub member for allowing the support to be hooked onto the rim of the head or foot board of a bed or gurney.

    Abstract: An apparatus for installing a cubicle curtain or IV track on a dropped ceiling constructed with standard tee-bars and lay-in tile includes a sliding channel member for sliding engagement over the track, and a clip device secured to the upper wall of the channel member for engaging over a ceiling tee-bar. The channel member can slide along the track and the clip device can slide along the tee-bar for positioning the track, before fastening the track in position. The clip device in one version includes a vertical support for direct attachment to ceiling or roof wires, where additional support is necessary.
