Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer code for providing information retrieval services (e.g. handling search queries and providing electronic advertising) in accordance with a given user's social network are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, an information retrieval operation is handled according to the click stream and/or taste profile and/or user profile of different associated users of the social network—for example, indirect contacts. The respective influence, for any associated user (i.e. within the social network), of the associated user's click stream and/or taste profile and/or user profile on the handling of an information retrieval operation for the “given user” may be determined by a “closeness function” between the associated user and the given user.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer-code is disclosed for detecting predators (i.e. sexual or financial predators) and for reporting and/or blocking access to the detected predators. Electronic media content (i.e. voice content and optionally also video content) or at least one multi-party conversation is monitored and analyzed. At least one predator-handling operation such as reporting the predator and/or blocking access to the predator is carried out.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer-code for electronically providing advertisement are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, advertisements are provided in accordance with at least one feature of electronic media content of a multi-party conversation, for example, by targeting at least one advertisement to at least one individual associated with a party of the multi-party voice conversation. Optionally, the multi-party conversation is a video conversation and at least one feature is a video content feature. Exemplary features include but are not limited to speech delivery features, key word features, topic features, background sound or image features, deviation features and biometric features. Techniques for providing advertisements in accordance with any voice electronic media content, including but not limited to voice mail content, are also disclosed.
