Abstract: A furniture unit including a plurality of frame members having at least one access opening in one of the plurality of frame members. The unit may be a furniture display unit having an access opening to accommodate an electrical cord of a light for a shelf, wherein the light is arranged between a shelf top and shelf bottom of the shelf. The electrical cord may pass through an access opening in the shelf, and through to the access opening in the unit. The access opening can be filled with a resilient type material conforming around the electric cord after the electrical cord has passed through the access opening or be covered by a panel, adhesive tape or other mechanism to obscure the view through the opening. The resilient type material may be a gasket, sponge-like material or deformable material.

A bearing or wheel assembly is provided. The sliding mechanism may be used with a furniture unit in order to allow a door to open in a first open position or a second closed position or remain in a closed center position. A locking mechanism may be used to lock the door to the frame of the furniture unit.

Abstract: A clock with a movable moon display having an improved moon dial in which a moon replica plate is associated integrally with the moon dial in spaced recessed relation to a round opening in the dial so that the moon replica takes on a shadowed illusion of depth while moving bodily with the dial transit of the display. This shadowed illusion can be disirably emphasized or enhanced by the provision within the clock housing of a source of illumination impinging on the display.

Abstract: Case clocks, especially of the so-called tall-case or grandfather type, equipped with at least one suspended elongated weight, preferably contained within a weight shell or casing, are provided with at least one narrow annular memorializing band surrounding the weight or shell and retained thereon, the annular band carrying on an exposed surface indicia commemorating a particular event to be memorialized. Preferably, the memorializing band slidably encircles the weight or shell, the latter including at its lower end a radially projecting detent, of bead shape for example, to limit the downward movement of the band. A plurality of such bands can be stacked vertically end-to-end on each weight or shell. The weight and bands are visually exposed through doors or other openings or transparent panels in the clock case.
