Patent number: 8168007Abstract: A multi-function washing and decontamination system for a hose is provided. The multi-function system includes a wash unit, a submersion unit, a hose test unit and a control unit. The control unit controls a motor driven pump and a blower unit in one embodiment. In another embodiment, the multi-function system is portable and is mounted on a trailer having at least one wheel. The wash unit of the multi-function washing and decontamination system of the present application includes a plurality of adjustable rollers and a flexible track defining a hose path that includes at least one nozzle for washing the hose and at least one air knife for drying the hose. The multi-function washing and decontamination system also includes a submersion unit for pre-soaking a hose prior to entry of the wash unit in a solution that decontaminates the hose. The multi-function washing and decontamination system may also include a hose test unit for testing a hose after washing and decontamination.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2008Date of Patent: May 1, 2012Assignee: Pump Systems, LLCInventors: Gary Riha, Michael J. Publication number: 20100040486Abstract: An ultrahigh pressure pump includes a frame; a crankshaft having a journal; and at least one telescoping pump subassembly having inner and outer ends. The outer end is carried by the frame pivot so as to allow pivotal swinging movement of the pump subassembly, and the inner end is attached to the journal. The piston rod can reciprocate relative to the inner bore substantially free from side loads. The pump subassembly includes: an outer member including a cylinder defining an inner bore; and a inner member having a piston rod and a outer sleeve. The piston rod is received in the inner bore and the cylinder is received in the outer sleeve. First and second restraining elements are disposed at spaced-apart positions along the axis of the pump subassembly and are configured to oppose misalignment forces between the piston rod and the cylinder.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2009Publication date: February 18, 2010Applicant: Kinemax Pump Systems LLCInventors: Franz W. Kellar, Harold Lloyd Crowder, JR.

Patent number: 7661935Abstract: An ultrahigh pressure pump includes a frame including at least one radially-extending member having an outer frame pivot disposed at outer end thereof; a crank rotatably mounted in the frame and adapted to be driven by a power source and a crank pin offset from a rotational axis of the crank; and at least one radially-extending telescoping pump subassembly having inner and outer ends. The outer end of each pump subassembly is attached to the outer frame pivot for pivotal swinging movement thereabout, and the inner end is pivotally attached to the crank pin. The pump subassembly operates substantially free from side loads on the piston rod and has a long component life.Type: GrantFiled: February 17, 2005Date of Patent: February 16, 2010Assignee: Kinemax Pump Systems LLCInventors: Franz W.
