Abstract: A system for identifying proper handwashing includes one or more sensors to monitor audio at a sink. The system for identifying proper handwashing further includes circuitry to receive sensor data from the one or more sensors, wherein the sensor data comprise audio data collected during functioning of the sink, detect that the audio data corresponds to one or more particular handwashing events in a set of handwashing events, and determine whether the particular handwashing event satisfies a condition associated with a standard for proper handwashing.
