Abstract: A method for calculating insurance premiums for pets using at least one Internet of Things (IoT) device employed in the life of pets according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include, collecting basic information of the pet, collecting maintenance information about maintenance of the at least one IoT device by a pet owner and usage information about usage of the at least one IoT device by the pet, calculating a level of conscientiousness of the pet owner based on the maintenance information, calculating a level of health of the pet based on the usage information, and determining the insurance rate for the pet based on the level of conscientiousness of the pet owner and the level of health of the pet.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for pet excrement. The device senses a presence of a pet, determines whether a rotary unit is operating in response to the sensing of the presence of the pet, determines whether a weight equal to or greater than a first set value is applied to a load cell when the rotary unit is not operating, determines whether a weight equal to or less than the first set value is applied to the load cell when a weight equal to or greater than the first set value is applied to the load cell, and operates the rotary unit when a weight equal to or less than the first set value is applied to the load cell. According to the present invention, excrement removal, solid material supply, and excrement accommodation can be automatically performed by simply rotating a rotary unit.

Abstract: A pet litter box includes a pad unit configured to form a defecation space; a load cell unit connected to the pad unit and configured to sense a weight applied to the defecation space; a solid material supply unit including a solid material storage unit that accommodates therein solid material to be supplied into the defecation space, a solid material feeder configured to discharge the solid material in the solid material storage unit to the defecation space and a solid material sensor configured to sense the amount of solid material accommodated in the solid material storage unit; and a controller configured to generate a solid material-shortage signal by determining whether or not there is a shortage of solid material based on results sensed by the solid material sensor and the load cell unit.
