  • Patent number: 7449676
Abstract: An optical transducer device including an optical transducer element having preliminary and fine-adjustment openings, a printed circuit board, a motor shaft, a hub mounted to the motor shaft, and a sensor/emitter element that forms a sensor gap. The optical transducer element is positioned by, pre-positioning the shaft in the preliminary opening of the optical transducer element such that the peripheral edge is located outside the sensor gap, and laterally sliding the optical transducer element so that the motor shaft is positioned in the fine-adjustment opening of the optical transducer element such that the peripheral edge at least partially reaches into the sensor gap. The optical transducer element is then pressed onto the hub. Prior to positioning the optical transducer device, the circuit board is soldered to the device components, thereby protecting the optical transducer element from the negative effect of heat and solder residue.

  • Patent number: 7394219
Abstract: An encoder unit releasably secured to the flange end of a motor with a form-fitting and positive connection comprises an encoder housing with guide grooves for receiving a printed circuit board (PCB), a recess for receiving the motor shaft, and at least one moveable side wall. A timing disc and hub are positioned on the motor shaft within the encoder housing beneath the PCB. The PCB, a sensor unit fixed, and the movable side wall are slid into the guiding grooves to press an abutment against the hub. The pre-assembled encoder housing can be placed onto a base plate at the flange end of the motor. Pressure movement fully insert the PCB into the housing cover so that the sensor unit records the code markings of the timing disc and so that an abutment is removed from a region of contact with the timing disc hub.

  • Publication number: 20040012793
Abstract: In modifying the surface structure in the form of pit and land structures, together with a specific window design of the receiver or multiple receiver, specific information can be accommodated in the track to be scanned. It is also possible to arrange a plurality of tracks with different radii on one transmitter element, so that the number of signals to be processed and thus the quantity of information to be gathered can be increased considerably. This improves the application possibilities of the inventive transmitter element in many ways, and it is not only possible to obtain conventional position signals or measured signals, but it is also possible to define certain ranges within said types of signal by indexing same.

  • Patent number: 6536267
Abstract: An angular position sensor unit has an encoder disc that is connected through a hub to an element whose angular position is to be measured. The encoder disc is made of a plastic material with a thickness between 0.1 and 1.0 mm and a planarity of <0.2 mm. An opening through the center of the encoder disc receives a flange of the hub. The flange has three or more ridges extending symmetrically in radial directions and engaging punched slots of the encoder disc. The slots conform to the contours of the ridges, so that the encoder disc is held in its position relative to the hub in a form-fitting, positive manner. In the axial direction, the disc is locked in place by the retainer.
