Patents Assigned to Q. I. Press Controls Holding B.V.
  • Patent number: 10571688
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of protecting a camera (2) for inspecting printed work during printing from soiling. A transparent protective element (7) is placed here between the camera (2) and the printed work for inspection, and the protective element (7) is replaced when the transparency thereof decreases. The transparent protective element (7) can form part of a strip of transparent film (7) which is unwound from a supply reel (9) and wound onto a take-up reel (10). The decrease in transparency can be determined on the basis of a recording made by the camera (2). The invention also relates to a device (1) for protecting such a camera (2) from soiling, comprising a transparent protective element (7) to be placed between the camera (2) and the printed work for inspection; and means ( ) for replacing the protective element (7) when the transparency thereof decreases.

  • Patent number: 9531936
Abstract: The present invention relates to a camera system (1). The invention also relates to a color measuring system and a printing press provided with such a color measuring system and/or camera system. The focal distance can be determined by making use of a plurality of sensors (2, 2?, 2?, 2??, 15) to record an image of the printed image (8, 16, 17) printed by the press and determining the overlap (9, 9?, Ov) between these images (16, 17).

  • Patent number: 7040232
Abstract: A method for monitoring printed material which is produced by a printing press and includes images printed on a paper web. The method includes the steps of determining, in an original, reference values for chosen parameters of the printed material, detecting the values of these parameters in the corresponding printed image, comparing the detected values to the reference values, and performing a correction when a difference in these values is found during the comparison. The chosen parameters may include the colours in the printed material, the location of the images in the printed material and/or the colour register of the printed material. A system for performing this method includes a reference value determining device, a detecting device and a comparing and correcting device connected to the reference value determining device and the detecting device.
