Abstract: A method of valuating a plurality of digital content items including: receiving the plurality of digital content items; for each received content item: establishing a plurality of attributes from content and characteristics of the content item; establishing a lifetime indicating a span of consumers interest in the content item; producing a valuation function for calculating a market value of the content item during its lifetime by finding and ranking nearest one or more previously processed content items having the plurality of attributes with closest similarity to the plurality of attributes of the received content item, performing weighted averaging of the valuation functions produced for the nearest one or more of the previously processed content items; and adapting, using “edge cutting” adaptation, the produced valuation function to a market response reflecting behavior of the consumers in response to the market values of the content item calculated by the valuation function.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for obtaining, from a content management system, a plurality of articles and respective information for each article in the plurality of articles; obtaining, for the journalist of each article, respective metadata of the journalist, wherein the respective metadata comprises at least an influence metric of the journalist; processing, for each article, the respective information and the respective metadata of the journalist of the article as training data to train a regression model; and providing a first article and metadata of an journalist of the first article as inputs to the regression model and determining, with the regression model, using one or more computers of the content management system, an initial price of the first article.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for receiving, from a user interface running on a publisher device, a baseline price for the article; receiving, from the user interface text and metadata of the article, the metadata comprising at least a genre for the article; determining, using one or more processors at a server system, a plurality of weights from the text and the metadata; applying, at the server system, the plurality of weights to the baseline price to generate the initial price of the article; and providing the initial price from the server system to a customer device for display at the device.

Abstract: A computer system and method in which users remotely access a system to proffer content that users can access from remote locations. The system automatically stores content together with parameters that pertain to the content and facilitate users' access, and automatically and dynamically prices access to the articles in a manner relating prices to user behavior. In one improvement, the system and method enrich the system by adding automated selection of potential providers of answers to questions that users post and an automatic selection of suitable recipients of answers to those questions, and also by adding dynamic pricing for access to the answers that may differ for different classes of access and for different times of access.
