    Abstract: An adapter assembly for use in the cue/billiards sports. The adapter assembly includes a first part, also referred to as a sleeve, and a second part, referred to as an adapter. The adapter assembly inserts into a hollow cue shaft. When the first end of the adapter assembly is inserted into the hollow cue shaft, the adapter of the adapter assembly is configured to receive an insertion pin of a cue handle and to hold the cue handle in position relative to the cue shaft.
