Abstract: Systems and methods for contactless payment are disclosed. The system and methods may include performing steps of: receiving user information from a user device, the user information including at least authentication information and payment information; receiving check information from a venue, the check information including at least a check identifier and initial order information; generating a check identifier for wirelessly communicating the check information to the user device; displaying the check identifier on a display on the user device; receiving a check close command; and requesting a payment from a user based on the user information and check information.

Abstract: A handheld mobile payment device and a system for mobile payment processing are disclosed. An exemplary handheld mobile payment device includes a smart mobile device; a credit card reader; and a protective case surrounding the smart mobile device and the credit card reader, wherein the protective case includes a first charging port to charge the smart mobile device and a second charging port to charge the credit card reader. An exemplary system for mobile payment processing includes a handheld mobile payment device that interfaces with a remote service to collect order information; presents confirmation and tip information to a customer; and transmits payment information to a payment processor, where in the handheld mobile payment device is a smart device coupled to a mobile credit card reader and runs a software application on a commercially available mobile operating system.
