Patent number: 7063239Abstract: A dispenser for foamed detergents includes a cylinder (C) in which a piston (P) airtightly slides, the cylinder (C) being connected through a valve (V) to a foamer (F) where the detergent is mixed with air to form the foam which is dispensed through a dispensing chamber (U) provided with a nozzle (N), and further includes an additional piston (S) connected to the piston (P) through a shaft (A) and airtightly sliding in an additional cylinder (C?) in communication with the outside through a one-way valve (Y), a duct (D) extending between said additional cylinder (C?) and the dispensing chamber (U). In this way there is obtained the delivery of air through the duct (D) during the return travel to achieve the cleaning of the dispensing chamber (U) and of the dispensing nozzle (N) so as to prevent dripping of the foam and the development of mildew in case of a long interval before the next use.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2004Date of Patent: June 20, 2006Assignee: QTS S.R.L.Inventor: Gianandrea Niada

Patent number: 6668693Abstract: Mechanism for cutting and distributing portions of sheet, particularly paper towels, comprising at least one cylinder (9) which can rotate around its axis in a supporting structure (1, 2, 3) and drag an end portion (8) of at least one sheet, inside said cylinder (9) being arranged one or more movable blades (28) which can protrude outside the cylinder (9) for cutting said end portion (8) of the sheet and are fixed to a shaft (26) suitable for rotating around an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cylinder (9), wherein said shaft (26) is provided with at least a first member (30) which protrudes from one side of the cylinder (9) and can be rotated for an arc of a circumference by at least a second member (25) which shifts in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the shaft (26) of the movable blades (28) and rotates around this axis, the rotational-translational motion of this second member (25) being synchronized with the rotatory motion of the cylinder (9).Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2001Date of Patent: December 30, 2003Assignee: QTS S.r.l.Inventor: Gianandrea Niada

Patent number: 6508382Abstract: An element for adjusting the width of the outlet (11) in paper towel dispensers (10) consists of a single piece molded in a plastic material having resilience features, in two specular left (1a) and right (1b) versions, which is substantially C-shaped with two lugs extending from a central body. Said lugs are parallel and spaced by a distance substantially equal to the thickness of the bottom wall (12) of the dispenser (10) in the area where the outlet (11) is formed, so as to enclose said area between a first lug of smaller extension on the outer side and a second lug of greater extension on the inner side. The inner lug carries a securing member suitable to couple with any of a plurality of mating fixing members provided close to the outlet (11) of the dispenser (10), so as to reduce by an adjustable extent the free width of the outlet.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2001Date of Patent: January 21, 2003Assignee: QTS S.r.l.Inventor: Gianandrea Niada

Patent number: 5954256Abstract: A container device that dispenses paper from a roll, with a roll (B) in reserve. The device has two substantially parallel pins (4,4') for supporting and unwinding paper (10) from the rolls (A, B) with two openings (20) corresponding to the pins in the lower portion of the device contained within a housing. A sector (5) shaped as part of a circle is mounted to freely rotate about one of the pins. The sector (5) has a peripheral flange (5a) that is adapted to obstruct the corresponding opening (20). When the sector (5) is kept at a first, substantially vertical position, the opening (20) is obstructed. A spring (15) urges the sector (5) to rotate until reaching a second position at which point, the previously obstructed opening (20) is made accessible.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 1997Date of Patent: September 21, 1999Assignee: QTS S.r.l.Inventor: Gianandrea Niada

Patent number: 5452832Abstract: An automatic dispenser for paper towels shaped in strips of an appropriate length severable from a continuous feed roll, outputs a portion of paper of an appropriate length cutting it with a stationary blade. The blade is located in a less accessible area of the apparatus for user safety reasons. Dispensing is usually controlled by a photoelectric cell or proximity detector, which actuates an ON-OFF switch for supplying power to a motor during a time period predetermined by a timer, thereby causing rotation of a dragging roller adapted to cause a certain extent of unrolling of the feed roll. In case of saturation of the photoelectric cell caused by improperly keeping it intercepted, an electronic switch disables the photo cell and enables an emergency push-button while also lighting a signal lamp to advise of a change in the operating condition, which requires a push of an emergency button.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1993Date of Patent: September 26, 1995Assignee: QTS S.r.l.Inventor: Gianandrea Niada
