Abstract: A dynamically self-stabilizing elastic keyswitch for a key of a keyboard includes a rigid keytop, a thin elastic sheet, and a downward-facing convex rigid key bottom. The rigid keytop has a central axis at least substantially perpendicular to a surface of the rigid keytop. The thin elastic sheet is disposed relative to the central axis, and the central axis is at least substantially perpendicular to a surface of the thin elastic sheet. The downward-facing convex rigid key bottom is disposed relative to the central axis and below the rigid keytop, and the central axis is at least substantially perpendicular to a surface of the downward-facing convex rigid key bottom.

Abstract: A device includes a keyboard mechanism having a number of keys, where the keyboard mechanism individually discerns typing of each key. The keyboard mechanism defines a keyboard layout of the keys. The keyboard layout is adapted to touch-typing by a user using a single hand. The keyboard layout has a sub-number of the keys of the keyboard mechanism organized over a number of columns within a center portion of the keyboard layout. The columns are organized around an imaginary vertical line running through the center portion of the keyboard layout. The sub-number of the keys are larger in size than a majority of other keys of the keyboard mechanism.
Abstract: A wearable computing, input, and display device is disclosed. One embodiment of the invention includes a band wrappable around a wrist of a user, one or more input mechanisms, a display mechanism, and a computing mechanism. The input mechanisms are attached to the band and have recessed and extended positions. In the recessed position, the input mechanisms are positioned under the wrist of the user. In the extended position, the input mechanisms are substantially positioned at the user's fingertips. The display mechanism is attached to the band such that it is over the wrist of the user, whereas the computing mechanism is attached to the band and operably coupled to the input and display mechanisms. In an alternate embodiment, the display mechanism is additionally rotatable from a flat position to a raised position, and vice-versa, where the raised position is user controlled for optimal viewing by the user.
