  • Patent number: 11991671
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a first user equipment (UE) may operate in accordance with a multi-user (MU) multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) communication mode and may communicate with multiple other UEs over a same physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) resource. In some implementations, the first UE may transmit an indication of an MU-unicast mode for multiple sidelink transmissions to the multiple other UEs and may transmit the multiple sidelink transmissions to the multiple other UEs over the same PSSCH resource. In such implementations, the multiple other UEs may select physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) resources to transmit feedback associated with the multiple sidelink transmissions in accordance with a PSFCH resource selection procedure associated with the MU-unicast mode.

  • Patent number: 11991699
Abstract: Backhaul resources may be allocated to different wireless communication links between different base stations, and local redistribution of resources among base stations may be utilized to account for variations in signal quality and/or variations in traffic experienced by different nodes of the backhaul network. A first access node function (ANF) may determine a need for additional backhaul resources, and may transmit a request message to one or more user equipment functions (UEFs) for additional backhaul resources. A UEF that receives the request message may forward the request to an associated second ANF. The second ANF, if it has backhaul resources available that the first ANF can use, may send a response to the first ANF, via the associated UEF, and the first ANF may use the additional resources that were originally allocated to the second ANF.

  • Patent number: 11985631
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may be associated with a reconfigurable surface for reflecting transmissions between second and third UEs (e.g., over sidelink resources). In one example, the first UE may transmit signaling indicating that retransmissions of a first message transmitted between a second and third UE and detected by the first UE may be reflected by the reconfigurable surface associated with the first UE. • Patent number: 11984979
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a transmitting device may generate a parity check matrix based on performing a lifting operation on a base matrix. Each column of the base matrix may correspond to a different variable node and each row may correspond to a different check node. • Patent number: 11985021
Abstract: A phase tracking reference signal (PT-RS) may be transmitted to enable a receiver to correct phase noise in wireless communication. A UE scheduled for one PDSCH with DMRS ports in two or more DMRS CDM groups that are associated with two TCI states may be configured for PT-RS using two PT-RS ports. Therefore, rather than limiting PT-RS to a single port, the PT-RS may be transmitted to the UE using two PT-RS ports. The apparatus transmits a capability indication for more than one PT-RS port for receiving a downlink shared channel based on a first TCI and a second TCI. The apparatus receives a configuration for a maximum number of downlink PT-RS ports from a base station.

  • Patent number: 11984874
Abstract: Surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter packages employing an enhanced thermally conductive cavity frame for heat dissipation, and related fabrication methods are disclosed. The SAW filter package also includes a cavity frame comprising a perimeter structure and a cavity inside the perimeter structure coupled to a substrate of a piezoelectric material that contains interdigital transducers (IDTs). A cap substrate is disposed on the perimeter structure of the cavity frame to enclose an air cavity inside the perimeter structure between a substrate and the cap substrate. In exemplary aspects, to effectively dissipate heat generated in the SAW filter package to maintain the desired performance of the SAW filter, the cavity frame is comprised of a material that has an enhanced thermal conductivity. The heat generated in the SAW filter package can more effectively be dissipated, particularly at edges and corners of the cavity frame where hot spots can particularly occur.

  • Patent number: 11984953
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to utilizing an intelligent reflecting surface (IRS), a tracking algorithm, or both, to receive, calibrate, and maintain orbital angular momentum (OAM) signaling between wireless devices. The present disclosure describes a first wireless device transmitting spatial-multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) beams to the IRS such that reflected waves from the IRS form a spatial mixture of OAM modes. The IRS may reflect such OAM modes to a second wireless device for subsequent reflection (e.g., a second IRS), reception, calibration, and optimization. For example, the second wireless device may perform pattern recognition of the concentric OAM modes (e.g., by estimating ellipse geometry) to determine the modes of the OAM signaling. The second wireless device may also perform decorrelation, where small perturbations to the elliptical OAM geometry allow the second wireless device to perform one or more optimization techniques related to the OAM signaling.
