Patent number: 8021155Abstract: A roofing product display and method has two miniature building halves with hollow interiors defined by interconnected sidewalls, pitched roof panels, transport bases and end panels, which are oriented at an angle to the associated transport bases. A hinge pivotally interconnects adjacent sides of the end panels to facilitate rotation of the miniature building halves between a folded storage position, wherein the roof panels come together in a generally straight plan configuration, and an unfolded display position, wherein the roof panels assume a generally L-shaped panel configuration with a roof valley therebetween. Roofing product samples are stored in the hollow building interiors, and are shaped for temporary placement on the roof panels in the display position to replicate installation on an actual building.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2009Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignee: Quality Edge, Inc.Inventor: C. Patent number: 7797901Abstract: A demountable wall system includes similarly configured channel segments having a hat-shaped center, a pair of center flanges, and L-shaped outer ends with fastener portions formed therein. A rigid stud having an I-shaped plan configuration is formed from a pair of the channel segments interconnected in a back-to-back relationship, wherein adjacent end flanges form outer stud faces against which wall panels are supported, and adjacent fastener portions form connector channels in which the wall panels are detachably retained. A header/footer track is formed from a channel segment connected with a flat base strip, and is attached to the opposite ends of the stud by stud extenders to define a frame on which the wall panels are supported.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2008Date of Patent: September 21, 2010Assignees: Quality Edge, Inc., Wellness Inc.Inventor: Shannon D. Patent number: 7584576Abstract: A guard and associated method for rain gutters includes a cap or deflector extending over a gutter of the type having a trough-shaped interior, a rear wall extending along a roof fascia, and a front lip with a channel and an end flange. A mounting bracket has a rear portion abutting the rear wall of the gutter, an upper portion supporting the deflector, and a front portion with a hook-shaped nose. The mounting bracket nose is configured for insertion under the end flange of the gutter, such that the mounting bracket is rotated rearwardly along a generally vertical arc about the nose toward the rear wall of the gutter, and shifted laterally into a skewed orientation within the gutter interior.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2007Date of Patent: September 8, 2009Assignee: Quality Edge, Inc.Inventors: Thomas A. McDonald, Tony A. Cobb

Patent number: 7137224Abstract: A vented soffit panel and related method for buildings and the like includes a generally flat imperforate base portion shaped to enclose at least a portion of the building soffit when mounted in a generally horizontal orientation under an eave. At least one vent channel protrudes upwardly from the base portion, and has a generally trapezoidal shape defined by a horizontal imperforate top wall and inclined perforate sidewalls with lower ends that connect with the base portion in a spaced apart relationship to define a slot through which air flows to vent the eave. The perforate sidewalls are disposed at an acute angle, such that they are hidden from view from a position underneath the eave.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2004Date of Patent: November 21, 2006Assignee: Quality Edge, Inc.Inventors: C. Patent number: 6959512Abstract: A heated guard for rain gutters includes a cap which deflects debris from the interior of the gutter. A plurality of mounting brackets are positioned within the interior of the gutter in a laterally spaced apart relationship, and are connected with an associated roof fascia. Each of the mounting brackets has an upper portion supporting the cap, and a forward portion with a horizontal slot. A hat-shaped channel extends between the mounting brackets, has a U-shaped base received in the slot of the mounting brackets, and is attached to the mounting brackets and positioned under the cap. An elongate electric heater element is positioned in the base portion of the channel, and is positively retained therein and covered by the cap.
