Patents Assigned to Quality Intervention AS
  • Patent number: 9782813
Abstract: Apparatus for bending a coiled tubing, the apparatus having a head portion for lateral insertion in a side opening in a wall of a well, the head portion defining a bending path for bending the coiled tubing during feeding thereof through the head portion, and the head portion having a coiled tubing straightener for straightening the coiled tubing during feeding. The coiled tubing straightener is retractable so that it can adopt a retracted position, for lateral insertion of the head portion into the side opening of the well wall. The head portion has, when the straightener is in the retracted position, a profile as viewed in the direction of lateral insertion, and the straightener being extendable for operation to straighten the coiled tubing to an extended position at least partly outside of the profile of the head portion.

  • Patent number: 9045954
Abstract: An injection module is used for lateral insertion and bending of a coiled tubing via a side opening in a well. The module is structured for connection to the side opening. The module includes injection equipment for coiled tubing operations. The distinctive characteristic of the injection module is that it also includes an insertion device connected to the injection equipment wherein the insertion device is structured in a manner allowing it to fit within the side opening in the well. A first end portion of the insertion device includes a bending head with a bending path, wherein the bending head is structured in a manner allowing it to directionally deviate the coiled tubing upon conducting the coiled tubing along the bending path. The insertion device is provided with a guide conduit extending from a second end portion of the insertion device and onwards to the bending head for allowing the coiled tubing to be conducted into the bending head.

  • Patent number: 9022124
Abstract: A method of well intervention in a subsea well having a wellhead on the sea floor includes extending an intervention hose downwardly through the sea from a hose drum installed on a vessel on the sea surface into the well through a subsea intervention stack installed on the wellhead. The intervention hose is exposed directly to the ambient sea between the vessel and the top of the subsea intervention stack. In a method of well intervention, an intervention hose extends from a hose drum and into a well. The hose is driven out of the well without the use of an injector by pulling the hose out of the well with the hose drum. In a method of well intervention, an intervention hose extends from a hose drum towards a wellhead, with the hose being guided downward from the drum towards the wellhead by a guiding sheave.

  • Patent number: 8622143
Abstract: Device for transfer of equipment for a wireline operation in a well connected to a drilling derrick via a top drive. The device comprises a beam structured for releasable connection to said top drive; wherein the beam is structured in a manner allowing it to extend, when in its position of use, transversely relative to a center line between the top drive and the well; wherein the beam is provided with at least one hoisting device with a lifting line for vertical movement of said equipment; wherein a support point for the lifting line is connected to the beam and is structured so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction of the beam, whereby said equipment may be moved horizontally relative to said center line; and wherein said hoisting device and support point are structured for remote-controlled operation.
