Abstract: A security device for securing a first object having an aperture to a second object by a cable. The device comprises a self contained locking unit for securing the device to the first object and a cable adapter having a top, a bottom and a cable housing. The cable housing receives a connector attached to an end of the cable after the cable is attached to the second object. The cable adapter receives the locking unit which will extend out of both the top and bottom of the cable adapter. The locking unit prevents the connector of the cable from being removed from the cable adapter when the locking unit is received by the cable adapter. The connector can be removed from the cable adapter when the locking unit is not being received by the cable adapter.

Abstract: A security device for securing a first object having an aperture to a second object. The security device includes a scissor locking unit for securing the device to the first object and a cable adapter. The scissor locking unit comprises a locking mechanism having a shaft that is rotated between an unlock position and a lock position, a cam connected to said shaft for rotation therewith and a scissor pivot assembly connected to the cam for translating the rotary motion of the cam into linear motion of a pair of scissor arms in the scissor pivot assembly. The pair of scissor arms will be in an overlapping closed position when the locking mechanism is in the unlock position allowing the scissor arms to be inserted into the aperture in the first object. The pair of scissor arms will be in a spread apart open position when the locking mechanism is in the lock position preventing the scissor arms from being withdrawn through the aperture in the first object so as to secure the device to the first object.

Abstract: An equipment security apparatus having a first locking member including a disc-shaped member for attaching the first locking member to a surface of an object to be secured and a locking pin extending outwardly therefrom, the locking pin being terminated by an enlarged end portion and a second locking member including a box-shaped housing having a mounting surface for attaching the second locking member to a surface to which the object is to be secured and a key actuated locking bar which is rotatable from an open position to a closed position when the key is rotated for capturing the enlarged end portion of the locking pin when the locking pin is inserted in a hole provided therefor in the second locking member.

Abstract: A disk drive lock assembly is provided having a housing, a slot blocking member movably mounted within the housing for linear movement relative to the housing, a key-actuated lock assembly coupled to a cam member located in the housing for moving the slot blocking member in a linear fashion relative to the housing between a retracted position and an extended position and a pad member which can be provided with an adhesive for permanently affixing the disk drive lock assembly to a disk drive adjacent to a disk receiving slot therein. In operation, the slot blocking member is selectively moved between a retracted position and an extended position for selectively blocking access to a disk receiving slot in a disk drive.

Abstract: A laptop computer security attachment and handle assembly comprising an elongated mounting bracket having at each end and extending perpendicularly therefrom an L-shaped bracket and an elongated handle member with bushings for pivotally attaching the handle member to the L-shaped members. One of the L-shaped members is provided with an elongated hole for receiving a security cable for securing the laptop computer to a structure as by a padlock, or the like.

Abstract: A security retaining member with a core having a central portion and a plurality of petal-like portions extending outwardly from the central portion and a material in which the core is embedded. Each of the petal-like portions comprises a hole through which the material in which the core is embedded is permitted to flow during the fabrication of the member for enhancing the adherence of the material to the core. The material typically comprises 60 durometer neoprene.

Abstract: A security apparatus is provided having a base plate with a loop member and a cover member having a tapered loop engaging member for engaging the loop member on the base plate and forcing the cover member toward the base plate as the cover member is moved horizontally relative to the base plate. The base plate is provided with an adhesive pad for attaching the base plate to an underlying surface. The cover member is provided with locking members for locking the cover member to the base plate when the cover has been moved to a predetermined horizontal position relative to the base plate. Retaining members are further provided for attaching equipment to be protected to the cover member.

Abstract: An equipment security apparatus comprising a base member and a cover member. The base member is attached to vertical or horizontal surfaces by means of bolts or adhesive pads and plates or brackets as required in a particular installation. The cover member is removably attached to the base member by inserting a pair of inwardly directed pin members which extend from the cover member into holes provided therefor in the base member and locking the cover member to othe base member. Equipment is securely attached to the cover member by means of one or more U-shaped rod members or straps which are made from case-hardened steel so as to prevent their being readily cut or severed by manual cutting apparatus such as bolt-cutters or the like.
