  • Patent number: 11988639
Abstract: A method and device for inspecting marine risers is described. The marine riser is deployed from a floating unit and connected to a lower marine riser package (LMRP) and a blow-out prevention (BOP) stack, and the method comprises: performing a first riser inspection with an inspection tool where the marine riser is in an unconnected well configuration, wherein the inspection tool includes an ultrasonic transducer device, and the first riser inspection comprises: conveying the inspection tool in an internal diameter of the marine riser, detecting information on the marine riser with the inspection tool while conveying the inspection tool through the marine riser, and collecting data with the inspection tool corresponding to the information detected by the inspection tool.

  • Patent number: 11927294
Abstract: A header delivery system and method for performing a pigging operation on a process tube connected at an angle to a header pipe. The header delivery system includes a base assembly coupled to a rotation assembly. The base assembly has a frame member supporting a launcher pipe coupled to a tube coupler and a jack apparatus. The rotation assembly is configured to position the base assembly with respect to the rotation assembly to adjust an angular position of the base assembly. The header delivery system may be aligned with a process tube in the header pipe and the jack apparatus may position the tube coupler from a first retracted position to an extended position to form a seal between the tube coupler and the first process tube. A service operation may be performed on the first process tube with the tube coupler in the extended position.

  • Patent number: 11890654
Abstract: A system and method for cleaning coils in a fired heater is provided. The cleaning system includes a data acquisition tool configured to pass through the coils to acquire data. The cleaning system is configured to establish a pre-cleaning fouling baseline derived from the data for the coils. The cleaning system is configured to develop an optimized cleaning plan for the coils based on the pre-cleaning fouling baseline. The optimized cleaning plan includes a focused cleaning for a fouling area in the coils. The cleaning system further includes at least one cleaning pig configured to clean the coils based on the optimized cleaning plan. The cleaning system further includes a decoking truck for cleaning the coils with the cleaning pig based on the optimized cleaning plan.

  • Patent number: 11719377
Abstract: A header delivery system and method for performing a pigging operation on a process tube connected to a header pipe. The header delivery system is insertable in the header pipe and has a launcher pipe for launching an inspection or cleaning tool to the process tube. A tube coupler for coupling to the process tube and a bumper are connected to the launcher pipe. A jack apparatus is configured to position the tube coupler and the bumper. A wedge assembly is connected to the launcher pipe and has a first actuating wedge and a first extension wedge. A first linear actuator is connected to the first actuating wedge and is configured to move the first extension wedge and the tube coupler mount apart from one another to position the tube coupler and the bumper from a retracted position to an extended position.
