    Abstract: A spectacle assembly includes a spectacle frame for holding a pair of corrective lenses, the frame having left and right eyewires for mounting lenses. The eyewires are partially split into two portions to enable replacement of a lens. A right and left connector element is used to clamp together the two portions of the right and left eyewires in order to secure the lenses and to attach left and right temple stems to the spectacle frame.
