Patent number: 11689451Abstract: The invention provides in some aspects a routing network comprising one or more nodes, at least one of which executes a process that routes received messages—and/or the digital data packets that make them up—to downstream nodes (i.e., further routing nodes or terminal nodes, within or outside or off the network) based on directives maintained in a routing table or other store (“routing table”) local to or otherwise associated with the receiving node. That node is responsive to interrupts or other notifications received from a control module with which it is in communications coupling for updating those directives with information supplied with that notification or otherwise available in connection therewith. As subsequent messages are received by the node, the process routes them to downstream nodes based on those updated directives.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2021Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: Quickbase, Inc.Inventors: Matthew F. Patent number: 11455296Abstract: A digital data processing system includes a server digital data processor that maintains (i) one or more tables, each comprising records or other structured data (collectively, “records”), (ii) a schema for each of the remote app and of one or more of the tables dedicated to or associated with the app, where each schema comprises a collection of metadata for the respective app or table. A client digital data processor is at least intermittently connected for communications with the server, and a remote app executes on that client digital data processor. The app includes instructions to cause that digital data processor request a record from one of the tables, to update data in that record and to request storage of the update back to that table. The remote app utilizes the schemas to prefetch data from the one or more tables dedicated to or associated with the app.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2020Date of Patent: September 27, 2022Assignee: Quickbase Inc.Inventors: Jonathan Williamson, Siddhant Benadikar

Patent number: 11456949Abstract: An improved digital data network of includes a plurality of routing nodes that are coupled for communications to form a routing network. The improvement comprises a message backup system that is coupled for communications with each of the plural routing nodes to store backup copies of digital messages and/or the digital data packets that make them up that are routed between those nodes.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2021Date of Patent: September 27, 2022Assignee: Quickbase, Inc.Inventors: Matthew F. Patent number: 10977224Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system that facilitates making updates to a data model, wherein the data model is associated with data items stored in a relational database system. In particular, updates to the data model are automatically propagated to the relational database system so that the structure of the relational database system remains consistent with the data model. This is accomplished by automatically executing queries corresponding to the updates against the relational database system. For example, changes to fields and/or tables in the data model can be automatically propagated to a relational database system by executing “Create,” “Drop,” “Alter,” and/or “Add” statements against corresponding fields and/or tables in the relational database system.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2017Date of Patent: April 13, 2021Assignee: QuickBase, Inc.Inventors: Matthew J. Greenwood, Sergio Haro, Sharon Hershon

Patent number: 9710508Abstract: In general, in one aspect the invention relates to a method and system for managing data. The method and system involves identifying for a first user at least one record of a plurality of records, generating a user interface which displays a data field associated with the at least one record in a grid format, receiving from a second user, subsequent to generating the first user interface, a first desired modification of the data field, receiving from the first user a second desired modification of the data field, triggering a conflict resolution process, wherein the conflict resolution process involves choosing a chosen modification from the first desired modification and the second desired modification, and saving the chosen modification in the data field.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 2006Date of Patent: July 18, 2017Assignee: QuickBase, Inc.Inventor: Joseph H.
