  • Patent number: 7484260
Abstract: A manually operated liquid dispensing cleaning implement uses batteries to drive a motor, through gearing to rotate a flexible cleaning head with cleaning elements. A cleaning fluid reservoir container is supported within the implement for dispensing cleaning fluid through the head. Application of compressive pressure on the head acts against the bias force of a leaf spring within the container to allow cleaning fluid to pass out the cleaning head.

  • Patent number: 7257854
Abstract: A reversible cleaning bonnet has a unitary central body member with first and second face surfaces. The body is encompassed by a cover which has two cleaning surfaces, i.e. either two scrubbing, polishing, dusting, mopping, etc. surfaces, or any combination of these surfaces The cover also has an elastic band which permits the bonnet to be attached to the cleaning head of a cleaning implement. The elastic band also permits the cover to be changed from one position in which one of the cleaning surfaces is exposed for use, to a second position which permits the second cleaning surface of the cover to be exposed and used.

  • Patent number: 7246399
Abstract: A mop head retaining clamp has a mop handle receiving base member. A lower clamp arm, with retaining teeth is pivotally connected to the base at one end of the arm. The other end of the arm is pivotally connected to one end of a side arm member. The other end of the side arm member is pivotally connected to a handle attached to a lockable insert. The insert is sized to fit snugly into a cavity in the base member and is removeably locked in place by the interaction of the insert's extended front surface with a lipped section extending from the cavity. A mop head attached with this clamp is securely fastened to its mop handle during use, but it can be readily disengaged when the mop head needs to be replaced.

  • Patent number: 6836921
Abstract: A deck or swab mop with an elongated handle and absorbent cleaning strands extends from an integrally formed body. The mop body has parallelly aligned front and rear walls and a top wall extending between the front and rear walls. An abrasive scrubber element with a downwardly extending abrasive surface extends from one of the side walls. The abrasive surface can easily and effectively be used to clean ingrained soiled areas.

  • Patent number: 6606757
Abstract: A dust mop comprises a handle connected to a flexible base member of unibody configuration. The base member has a flexibly resilient top wall and flexibly resilient side and end walls. Cleaning strands of cloth or like material are attached to and extend from the base member. The top wall of the base member comprises an integrally molded spring which maintains the base member in a flat configuration. The cloth strands can be used for cleaning dust or other accumulated dirt or a disposable cleaning sheet can be wrapped around the cleaning strands and retained in position over the strands and the base member by resilient biased members integrally molded from the top wall.

  • Patent number: 6000087
Abstract: A roller sponge mop which is used for routine floor surface or similar surface cleaning and moisture absorbing mopping is combined with an integral mop attachment with an outer abrasive surface, designed and formed to be positioned within a wall surface of the lower frame of the mop, to be used for cleaning more difficult and ingrained soiled surfaces. The attachment is removable and interchangeable for use on similarly configured roller mops. The sponge mop roller squeeze feature is actuated by a cammed lever which is rotatably connected to the mop's handle and is positioned adjacent to a sleeve slidable mounted on the handle. At its lower end, the sleeve comprises the frame which carries the mop attachment and connects to the mop's rollers. The bias action of a spring at the lower end of the handle maintains the sponge element of the mop in the cleaning position.

  • Patent number: 5915437
Abstract: Dual bonnet clips, preferably of integral plastic molded construction, are secured to the top surface of the head of a dust type mop. Each clip has two resilient upstanding arms which, when pushed down at their respective ends, causes the side sections of the clip to pivot up from the top surface of the mop at the clips' midpoint. In this raised position, the side surfaces of the mop's bonnet can be placed under the side sections. When the downward pressure on the ends of the arms is released, the side sections of the clips pivot down and lower onto the bonnet, securing the bonnet to the mop head.

  • Patent number: 5839145
Abstract: A dustpan with a shovel section is configured in substantially the same shape as the broom head and is adapted, during non-use or storage, to overlay the head. The dustpan consists of a lower, open resilient tubular section which surrounds the handle of the broom. Shoulder members protruding from this section maintain the dustpan in position over the broom head. When the broom is to be used, the dustpan is simply slid up the handle towards the user, to a point where an outwardly extending rim at the lowermost end of the dustpan engages detents extending from a collar secured to the handle. The dustpan rim and collar detents interconnect, positioning and securing the dustpan on the handle to expose the bristles of the broom to allow sweeping. After sweeping is completed, the dustpan can be disengaged from the collar by sliding it down the handle, away from the user. It can then be removed from the broom to pick up dirt and debris.

  • Patent number: 4164800
Abstract: A combination mop and wringer comprising a handle and a replaceable strand type mop positioned at one end of the handle. A slide arm reciprocates relative to the handle from an initial position to a wringing position to push a pivotal, split ring member over the strand mop to wring out excess water. The slide arm reciprocates through a guide block having a configured opening to prevent twisting of the slide arm during movement. Reciprocation of the slide arm returns the split ring member to its initial position ahead of the strand mop. The split ring includes a pivotal connection to the slide arm and a flapper type closure to automatically complete the ring configuration prior to each mop wringing cycle. The slide arm may be provided with a locking detent suitable to releasably engage the guide block to retain the slide arm in its initial position.
