  • Patent number: 7118413
Abstract: A connection box system comprising an anchor configured to be removably secured to a fixture for delivery of a signal to a consuming device. The anchor may have a first engagement mechanism. A connection box may be configured to house lines proceeding from a signal source and terminating in the connection box for connection to the fixture. A receiver may be configured in association with the connection box to receive and retain the anchor. The receiver may have a second engagement mechanism to engage the first engagement mechanism of the anchor when the anchor is inserted therein without the aid of tools.

  • Patent number: 7083467
Abstract: A connection box assembly includes an electrical connection box with one end shaped to receive a fastener for securing the connection box to a stud or other structural member. The other end is secured to a slide. A spacer is inserted within the slide to register the connection box with respect to any sheathing, sheetrock, or paneling material applied to a back side of the stud or other structural member. The slide engages the spacer with a uni-directional ratchet controlling the extension of the spacer from the connection box.

  • Patent number: 7077695
Abstract: An electrical fixture comprising a body, first flange, and second flange. The body may have a terminal for securing a transmission line. The first flange may secure to the body to extend away therefrom toward a first end. The second flange may secure to the body to extend toward a second end. The first and second flanges may each include a pair of ears, the first and second pairs of ears being located proximate the first and second ends, respectively. The ears of the first and second pairs of ears may be spaced apart in a third direction substantially orthogonal to the first and second directions. The ears may be formed to have an extended portion, most distant from the body, and a recessed portion, spaced away from the extended portion toward the body and presenting an edge extending in the third direction.

  • Patent number: 7048575
Abstract: An assembly for securing low voltage terminals. The assembly may include a panel forming a wall covering. The panel may have an exterior surface, an interior surface, and an aperture extending therethrough. A base may abut the exterior surface of the panel proximate the aperture. The base may include one or more receivers. One or more securements may each include a retainer and slide. The retainers may abut the interior surface of the panel. The slides may extend from the retainers, pass through the aperture, and unidirectionally engage the receivers to maintain the base in abutment with the exterior surface of the panel.

  • Patent number: 7049511
Abstract: A connection box assembly comprising a connection box having a proximal end shaped to receive a fastener and a distal end, spaced in the lateral direction from the proximal end, having a stop and a slide. The assembly may include a spacer shaped to be inserted, without the use of tools, within the slide until the spacer abuts the stop. The spacer may be adjustable in length. The spacer may be arranged to extend from the proximal end of the connection box in the transverse direction when inserted into the slide and abutted against the stop.

  • Patent number: 6840800
Abstract: An anchoring assembly for securing an electrical fixture to a connection box. The assembly may include a receiver having a first engagement mechanism. The receiver may be formed to receive an anchor exclusively by translation in the longitudinal direction. The anchor may have a second engagement mechanism formed as a cantilever extending in substantially the longitudinal direction. The second engagement mechanism may support at least one engagement location. Additionally, the second engagement mechanism may be arranged to deflect when, upon insertion, an engagement location of the at least one engagement position passes the first engagement mechanism.
