    Abstract: A treadmill includes an endless belt, the uppermost side of which is adapted to form a flat exercising surface. The endless belt is supported at each end of the exercising surface for supporting and allowing the endless belt to move longitudinally. The edges of the endless belt are also supported by connecting each edge to a support rail through a plurality of springs for providing a trampoline-like effect to the surface.
