Abstract: A system for locating a buried structure in which a signal radiating from the structure is measured by its reception on the surface of the earth with the signal being attenuated by a selected amount and then measured by reception at varying distances above the earth with a lesser attenaution, whereby the depth of the object below ground is indicated as a function of signal level differences and attenuation.
