Abstract: A draining construction wrap includes a pliable moisture impermeable layer having interior and exterior surfaces. A drainage framework is configured to channel moisture across the exterior surface of the pliable moisture impermeable layer. The drainage framework includes a plurality of support struts. Each of the support struts includes a base strut portion coupled with the exterior surface, a strut support face, and a strut body extending from the base strut portion to the strut support face. A plurality of drain channels are between the support struts. The draining construction wrap includes an installation surface configured for coupling with an outer wall. The installation surface includes the strut support faces of the plurality of support struts. The strut bodies of the plurality of support struts brace the installation surface and the pliable moisture impermeable layer is recessed from the installation surface with a strut gap therebetween.

Abstract: A hold down clip is installed on the rafters or a building to secure a membrane between the rafters before the roof is put on the building. The rafter hold down clip and membrane create an air gap between the rafters, thereby creating an insulation layer beneath the roof. The depth of the air gap is determined by the length of the legs of the rafter hold down clip. In a presently preferred embodiment of the invention, the legs are about 1.5 inches long, and therefore create an air insulation gap about 1.5 inches deep.

Abstract: A passive venting device for venting enclosures comprising a base member, an intermediate splash member including a diverter, and a top, dome-shaped member. In a preferred embodiment, the diverter may be molded as a single unit of manufacture with the base member. The venting device allows air and other gases to escape from within an enclosure to be vented while preventing the incursion of moisture in the form or rain or snow into the enclosure.

Abstract: A weep hole cover fits into an existing weep hole and expands for a friction fit in the weep hole. A vertical front plate includes a plurality of holes to permit seepage from the air gap behind a brick facade. A pair of vertical side plates extend back from the front plate, each at a right angle to the front plate. A pair of angled plates extend back from the side plates to contact the bricks on either side of the weep hole. The angled plates collapse for insertion of the cover into the weep hole, and then spring out again for friction contact with the bricks on either side of the weep hole.
