Abstract: A weapon grip assembly for attachment to a forward portion of a weapon is provided. The invention includes a base assembly supported for operative engagement by a handle. The base assembly includes clamps adapted to be secured to a forward portion of the weapon and further includes a post having a clamp end adapted to retain the clamps for pivot motion with respect thereto. The post of the base assembly is received within a bore of the handle, a mandrel being interposed between the handle and the clamps of the base assembly. As the base assembly is drawn into the handle, by rotation of the handle about the post of the base assembly, the mandrel receives the clamp end of the post, with an upper free surface thereof engaging the clamps for pivoted closure about a portion of the weapon in furtherance of securing the weapon grip assembly thereto.

Abstract: A barrel latch safety for a grenade launcher having a barrel slidable upon a receiver via actuation of a barrel latch is provided. The barrel latch safety includes a locking plate and an elongate member extending from a portion thereof so as to define a crotch between the elongate member and a side edge of said locking plate. The subject safety is adapted to be positioned on the receiver such that a surface adjacent the side edge of the locking plate prohibits barrel latch actuation upon translation of the safety relative to the receiver.

Abstract: An illumination tool fixture is generally provided. The fixture comprises an illumination tool receiving sleeve and a clamping assembly operatively received at an end thereof. The sleeve is generally characterized by first and second sleeve segments, each having first and second sleeve ends. The second sleeve end includes an interior circumferential wall segment characterized by a taper, and a thread bearing outer surface segment. Manipulation of a portion of the clamping assembly, namely a clamping ring thereof, establishes a wedged interference engagement for an illumination tool within the fixture.

Abstract: A collapsible firearm stock system is generally provided and preferably includes a shoulder stock system adapted to receive a buttstock thereon, and a locking linkage having a first linkage portion, a second linkage portion, and a hinge pin operatively uniting the first and said second linkage portions. One of the linkage portions is carried by the shoulder stock assembly so as to define a terminal end therefore, the other of the linkage portions being adapted to be carried by a firearm. Each of the linkage portions are adapted so as to automatically unite in locking engagement upon axial alignment of the shoulder stock assembly with the firearm about the hinge pin.

Abstract: A mounting apparatus (12) for a personal illumination tool (14) having a removable end cap (84) is provided. The apparatus (12) generally includes a sleeve (16) for receipt and retention of the personal illumination tool (14), more particularly, a ring or ring-like member (26) depends from an interior surface of the sleeve (16) for receipt and retention between portions of the illumination tool (14) in furtherance of forming an interference fit therebetween. The sleeve (16) further includes and end portion (18) adapted for affixation to a mount (34). A combination of the apparatus (12) and illumination tool (14) is likewise provided.

Abstract: An auxiliary weapon, such as a grenade launcher, is mounted on a main weapon, such as a rifle. The trigger member of the auxiliary weapon includes a pivotal extension that may be moved to a locked position to retain the safety in its on position. The extension in its unlocked position is adjacent the trigger member of the main weapon to allow both weapons to be easily fired using the same hand.

Abstract: The present invention is a method and apparatus for reconfiguring an automatic rifle (10) for quick attachment and detachment of a grenade launcher (32). The apparatus invention comprises an upper rack (42) securable to the barrel (16) of the rifle (10), and a lower rack (34) to which the grenade launcher (32) can be secured. The upper and lower racks (42, 34) carry quick connect/disconnect fittings (66, 68, 78, 80) for mating and unmating of the launcher (32) with regard to the rifle (10).
