    Abstract: A pedestal mount for detachable attachment of a pedestal to a boat deck, including a shallow channel for mounting substantially flush with the deck, a vertical pedestal having an attached horizontal base plate sized for insertion into the shallow channel and for sliding there along into rigid engagement in the shallow channel, and a latch for detachably holding the base plate in rigid engagement in the shallow channel.
