    Abstract: A mechanical assembly provides an attachment of an antenna tower to an antenna that includes back ring attached to an antenna reflector. The assembly includes a horizontal beam and a bracket. The bracket includes a first, e.g. planar, portion and a second, e.g. planar, portion that meet at a corner. The first portion is configured to fasten to the antenna back ring and the second portion is configured to attach to the horizontal beam. The second portion includes a pivot slot for receiving a first fastener connecting the bracket to the horizontal beam, and includes a circular hole for receiving a second fastener connecting the bracket to the horizontal beam.

    Abstract: Corrosion within a flangeless connector, or at an associated connection of a device or medium (e.g., cable), used in a wireless base station may be reduced by incorporating a recessed portion in an outer surface of a body of the flangeless connector. The recessed portion helps retain a seating member, such as a deformable O-ring, to prevent water and other environmental material from seeping into the connector or connection. Further, inner surfaces of a port of a device that receives the flangeless connector may be covered with a conductive plating, while outer surfaces of the port may be covered with a non-conductive coating.

    Abstract: Switched beam antenna systems are disclosed. The disclosed antenna systems include an antenna having multiple, co-linear arrays of electromagnetic radiating elements and a Butler Matrix feed network that feeds the antenna. At least one antenna port of the Butler Matrix feed network is connected to a power divider/combiner to split the signal strength at the at least one antenna port such that signal power is distributed unequally among the arrays of electromagnetic radiating elements.     Abstract: Orthomode transducers (OMTs) and methods of fabricating OMTs are disclosed. According to disclosed embodiments, an OMT includes a housing defining an internal waveguide. The housing may be composed of a first cast housing member attached to a second cast housing member. The first housing member may include a first side of the waveguide that is cast into the first housing member. The second housing member may include a second side of the waveguide that is cast into the second housing member. A method of fabricating an OMT may include arranging at least one casting insert in at least one mold, casting the housing in the mold and casting a waveguide in the housing using the at least one casting insert. The disclosed devices and methods provide cost effective solutions for fabricating OMTs of various operating frequencies that share a substantially similar outer housing shape and size.
