Patents Assigned to Radio IP Software Inc.
  • Patent number: 11064544
Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for providing applications and devices in a mobile part access to communications between the mobile part and a fixed part and such that prior to completion of authentication of the mobile part with the fixed part certain types of communications between the mobile part and the fixed part are supported by a service connection not requiring completion of authentication. The types of communications able to use the service connection are provided to the mobile part in the form of a pre-authentication filter.

  • Patent number: 8270358
Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method for enabling transmission of data between an application pair, a first one of the applications in a nomadic/mobile subsystem and a second one of the applications in a ground subsystem comprising a first router within the nomadic/mobile subsystem, the first router interconnected with the first application, a second router within the ground subsystem, the second router interconnected with the second application, and a secure data transfer tunnel established between the first router and the second router, the tunnel comprising a plurality of communication pipes, each one of the plurality of pipes having associated therewith one of a plurality of different communication networks and at least one filtering rule dictating circumstances under which the pipe can be used to transmit data.

  • Patent number: 8265650
Abstract: A system and method are presented to provide radio and GPS coverage versatility in a location-based service (LBS) system, such as an automatic vehicle location (AVL) system. A mobile client in communication with one or more servers of an LBS system includes one or more mobile communication devices and one or more GPS devices for establishing a position of the client. The client is configured to determine whether none of the one or more GPS devices provide the server access to the position through a wireless protocol implemented therewith, or whether the position should be communicated to the server using the one or more communication devices.

  • Patent number: 7483405
Abstract: A method and system for supporting data transfers between legacy application pairs and IP application pairs. An emulation module emulates a wireless connection such that a legacy application believes it is communicating directly with the wireless network. Data from one or more legacy applications and one or more IP applications can be multiplexed and data from the legacy applications and the IP applications encrypted and/or compressed prior to transfer between the application pairs.
