Patents Assigned to Radiocarb Genetics, Inc.
  • Patent number: 8668898
Abstract: Methods and compositions for effectively lowering the carbon-14 content, particularly of DNA and histones in vertebrates, especially humans, to significantly below normal background levels and thereby reduce chromosomal damage using nutritional or dietary supplements based on low radiocarbon DNA, amino acid and histone precursors, further preferably including those which contribute the largest share of histone carbon atoms. Administration of the supplements during the earliest and/or most active growth stages of life is particularly beneficial. Particularly useful supplements are prepared by combining low radiocarbon precursor compounds with ordinary supplement or dietary components that exhibit substantially normal background radiocarbon concentrations.

  • Patent number: 8153973
Abstract: Methods, particularly computer-implemented methods, are provided for analyzing, labeling, reporting, and certifying the radiocarbon abundance levels of low radiocarbon food products, including relevant chemical components of final products as well as components of lots used in manufacturing, so that manufacturers, consumers or other users of these products can have high confidence in their stated radiocarbon content and a better understanding of their potential effectiveness in reducing genetic damage. Other embodiments employ an algorithm to calculate an overall value or grade or range indicative of the product's known or estimated ability to either reduce the radiocarbon level of, or to reduce genetic damage occurring in, newly formed chromosomal material in consumers of such products, the chromosomal material comprising DNA and histone proteins and remote access by consumers to the computer-implemented methods, for example, via the Internet.

Abstract: Methods for significantly lowering the carbon-14 content, particularly of DNA and histones in vertebrates, especially humans, to significantly below normal background levels and thereby reduce chromosomal damage using dietary supplements based on low radiocarbon DNA and histone precursors optionally including selected low radiocarbon amino acids, preferably including those which contribute the largest share of histone carbon atoms. Administration of the supplements during the earliest and/or most active growth stages of life is particularly beneficial. Components of the low radiocarbon supplements can be produced using a photobioreactor, an aqueous reaction medium and low radiocarbon carbon dioxide. The photobioreactor can be integrated into a body of water or can comprise a mobile, floating structure. Low radiocarbon by-products of photosynthesis can be recycled for use in non-photosynthetic fermentation processes to increase the yield of desirable supplement components.
