    Abstract: The invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular to the methods for heat treatment of railway rolling stock parts, specifically railway rolling stock unit center plate. The center plate strengthening device contains a power coil and a sprayer, the power coil being implemented as turnable against the center plate central axis and containing a tube with spray cooling openings. The method for railway rolling stock unit center plate strengthening is performed by progressive induction hardening with simultaneous liquid cooling while rotating the center plate strengthening device 360° around the central axis where the center plate treated surfaces undergo induction heating, spray cooling immediately after the heating, and low-temperature volume tempering with a dwelling period.

Wear-resistant lateral guiding plates (9) are secured within locator recesses (8.2) on the bearing surfaces (8.3), and wear-resistant inserts (10) are secured on inclined bearing seats (8.5). The use of wear-resistant lateral guiding plates (9) and wear-resistant inserts (10) protects side bearing surfaces and inclined bearing seats of guiding pockets (8) engaging with friction wedges of the shock absorber from contact wear.

    Abstract: A side bearer of a railcar truck is designed to limit reciprocal displacement of a truck and railcar under a frame. The side bearer includes a carrying body with a guiding opening wherein a bearing cup is mounted by applying a springing element. A thrust collar is implemented on a guiding wall in a groove. Upon off-loading the cup e.g., during dismantling of a truck from under a railcar, a thrust collar bears against a limiting face ensuring unreleasable connection of the side bearer. Indicator grooving is implemented on a working face and on a lateral wall of a carrying body, enabling visual control of a side bearer technical condition.
