Abstract: The present invention relates generally to maintenance management systems and methods, particularly for rail car fleets. The system includes a web-based software system for identifying high-risk equipment and identifying and facilitating maintenance and repair options. The preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises three main modules: (1) fleet data management and analysis; (2) bid management and Request for Quote (“RFQ”); and (3) shop management. It is deployed in a cloud-based software environment, giving users maximum flexibility to manage their railcar fleets and optimize the process of maintaining their railcars.
