    Abstract: Disclosed is a thread lead gauge which includes a tubular barrel, a handle connected to the barrel, and a dial indicator connected to the handle and having a stem extending into the barrel. A single fixed bearing pin extends from the barrel and a single axially movable point is positioned spaced apart from and in line with the fixed point. A spring is provided for biasing the movable point away from the fixed point. The dial indicator indicates the position of the movable point with respect to the fixed point.
