Patent number: 11285883Abstract: Disclosed is a drop-down utility rack that has a rotating bar for controlling the position of the utility rack between a transport position and an access position. The rotating bar rotates through an arc of rotation which moves the rack between the transport and access positions. A lever is connected to the rotating bar for rotating the rotating bar. The lever is adapted to move through an arc of travel. A clutch is mounted between the lever and the rotating bar. The clutch engages and disengages the lever and the rotating bar such that the lever rotates through the arc of travel to rotate the rotating bar over a portion of the arc of rotation. The clutch automatically disengages the lever from the rotating bar as the rotating bar completes its arc of rotation. In this way, the arc of travel is less than the arc of rotation.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2020Date of Patent: March 29, 2022Assignee: Ranger DesignInventor: Iiko Paunov

Patent number: 10779641Abstract: The foldaway shelving unit has movable end caps and at least a first shelf and a second shelf mounted for pivotal movement with respect to the shelf support. A first movable end cap is mounted adjacent the first end of the first shelf and a second movable end cap is mounted adjacent the second end of said second shelf. The shelves can be independently pivoted between a lowered position and a raised position. When the shelves are in the lowered position, the first and second movable end caps form a bridge between the shelves. When one of the shelves is in the raised position, and the other shelf is in the lowered position, the pivot bracket raises one of the movable end caps with respect to the lowered shelf and at least a portion of the vertical wall of the second movable end cap is above the support surface of the lowered shelf.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2019Date of Patent: September 22, 2020Assignee: RANGER DESIGNInventor: Gary Wayne Beere

Patent number: 10183643Abstract: A vehicle partition mounted in a vehicle for separating a driver's compartment and a cargo compartment. The partition has a perimeter defining the outer extent of the surface area. The perimeter is contoured to closely fit within the contoured surfaces of the vehicle. The partition has a top section and a bottom section. The top section is transparent over the entire expanse of the top section extending to the perimeter such that top section can be seen through without visual obstructions over the entire surface area of the top section.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2017Date of Patent: January 22, 2019Assignee: Ranger DesignInventor: Ilko Paunov

Patent number: 10017086Abstract: The present invention is a removable storage system for use in a vehicle which allows a storage cart to be rolled into and out of the vehicle and secured within the vehicle. The storage system includes a support assembly adapted to be mounted within a vehicle. The support system has at least one horizontal member extending along the longitudinal side of the vehicle. The movable cart has at least one surface for supporting items, and a locking mechanism for locking the cart to the support system. The horizontal member includes at least one retention member to resist movement of the moveable cart in the longitudinal direction. The locking mechanism engages the horizontal member to lock the cart to the horizontal member to resist movement of the moveable cart in the lateral direction.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2017Date of Patent: July 10, 2018Assignee: Ranger DesignInventor: Ilko Paunov

Patent number: 9987995Abstract: An assembly for a storing and releasing a ladder comprising an outer lock that includes outer base extending along an axis and a pole extending transversely from the outer base to a pole end for disposition in a parallel and spaced relationship to the first drop-down arm in the cradle position for preventing the rail of the ladder from falling off the outer lock. A pole anchor connects the pole to the outer base for adjustment to various adjusted positions along the axis. A latch defines a catch for engaging the outer base in the latched position to retain the outer base in the cradle position and a locking hole for receiving a secondary lock to maintain the latch in the latched position.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2016Date of Patent: June 5, 2018Assignee: Ranger DesignInventors: Ilko Paunov, Alain Pepin

Patent number: 9878649Abstract: The high density foldaway shelving unit of the present invention includes at least one shelf and at least two spaced posts. The shelf is mounted between the posts. A pair of cantilevered floor mounts is mounted to the floor of a vehicle. Each of the posts is mounted to a respective one of the cantilevered floor mounts to transfer weight to the cantilevered floor mounts. A pre-assembled shelf mounting assembly is provided for mounting the shelves to the posts. The pre-assembled shelf mounting assembly has a bracket mounted to the posts, a pivot pin mounted to the shelf and a guide pin for stopping the shelf in the raised and lowered position.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2017Date of Patent: January 30, 2018Assignee: Ranger DesignInventor: Gary Beere

Patent number: 9764692Abstract: A shelving unit for supporting objects in a vehicle includes one or more adjustable shelves all extending transversely and horizontally between a pair of upright side panels. A rear vertical rail extends along one edge of each of the side panels and defines a plurality of slot shaped rear apertures. A front vertical rail extends along an opposite and parallel edge of each side panel. Each adjustable shelf includes a pair of shelf sides extending parallel to and adjacent the side panels. A flange extends outwardly from each of the shelf sides with a bolt attaching the flange to a front vertical rail and applying a rearward biasing force to the adjustable shelf. A rear tab extends rearwardly from each of the shelf sides and is angled laterally inwardly to engage a rear aperture in a wedging force-fit in response to the rearward biasing force.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2015Date of Patent: September 19, 2017Assignee: Ranger DesignInventor: Gary Beere
