    Abstract: A light polarizing spectacle lens including a lens body and a light polarizing film embedded in the lens body. The lens body is made from a resin mixture comprising a pregelled monomer of about 65 to 75 weight percent of the mixture, a conventional monomer of about 25 to 35 weight percent of the mixture, and isopropyl carbonate of about 2.7 to 2.9 weight percent of the mixture. The polarizing film is in the form of a wafer dried at approximately 140.degree. F. to 160.degree. F. for about 2-12 hours.
