  • Patent number: 4422253
Abstract: A display device wherein a pleated sheet is retained in a carrier defining opposed pockets receiving the opposite ends of the pleated sheet. Stops are provided at opposite sides of the carrier for engagement by opposite side portions of the pleated sheet for limiting lateral expansion of the pleated sheet. The spacing between the stops is preselected to maintain the folds of the pleated sheet suitably compressed to have a height substantially equal to the depth of the pockets.

  • Patent number: 4270291
Abstract: A sign construction having a plurality of movably connected panels including a mounting panel and panels successively hung from the lower edge of the mounting panel. In the illustrated embodiment, the sign construction includes an upper mounting panel having structure for securing the mounting panel facially to a windowpane. The panel portions hanging from the mounting panel define selective information-conveying sign structure and, in the illustrated embodiment, include an upper panel portion and a lower panel portion which are hingedly connected to permit the lower panel portion to selectively hang downwardly from the upper panel portion or be retained between the front face of the upper panel portion and the windowpane as a result of hinged swinging of the lower panel portion upwardly from the hanging disposition. The connection of the upper edge of the upper panel portion to the lower edge of the mounting panel, in the illustrated embodiment, is provided by a hinge.

  • Patent number: 4215840
Abstract: A display system having a shelf rail defining a pair of vertically spaced parallel confronting channels with a display element removably mounted to the shelf rail by means of one or more mounting clips. Each clip is defined by a base wall having upper and lower edge portions received in the channels of the shelf rail and a support wall having a connecting portion projecting forwardly from the base wall of the clips and an upright portion defining with the base wall an upwardly opening channel for receiving an edge portion of the display element wall. The display element wall may be provided with an opening slightly larger than the cross section of the connecting portion of the clip so as to provide a secure removable mounting of the display element on the clip.

  • Patent number: 4175345
Abstract: A display device having a base, a first display, and a rotary drive for rotating the first display about a preselected rotation axis. Second and third displays are connected to the drive through a suitable connecting structure so as to be moved reciprocably relative to each other while being rotated about the preselected axis concurrently with the first display. The connecting structure may include a control lever which is pivotally mounted with portions at opposite sides of the pivot connected to the second and third displays, respectively, for effecting reciprocal movement thereof toward and from each other. The connecting structure may include a motion translating structure effecting operation of the reciprocating structure as the result of the rotation of the first display about the preselected rotation axis.
