Abstract: A workflow management system which comprises an interface between an application and a control system to allow interlocks from either the application or the control system to prevent movement to the next step of workflow if the previous step was not confirmed complete by either the application or the control system.

More particularly, the present disclosure pertains to a drilling rig incorporating a dual top drive apparatus useable for decreasing connection time of pipe segments useable during well drilling or other well operations, and methods of connecting pipe segments useable during well drilling or other operations.
