  • Patent number: 10549486
Abstract: In a process for the manufacture of an impermeable connection between at least two fluid carrying silicone hose components, the silicone hose components and a silicone connector component are first prepared. Afterwards a fluid silicone mass is applied to at least one connecting area where the silicone hose components abut on the silicone connector components. The at least one connecting area is post cured to harden the silicone mass. In a fluid carrying assembly with at least two fluid carrying silicone hose components and at least one silicone connector component, a fluid carrying connection is manufactured between these components by means of this process. This design results in a connecting technique that is, on the one hand, secure and, on the other hand, enables automation of the manufacture of an impermeable connection and thus of the fluid carrying assembly.

  • Patent number: 10493214
Abstract: A medical injection device has a syringe. The syringe has a container for the medium to be injected and an injection cannula, which communicates with the container. A needle guard of the injection device can be moved between an injection position and a safe position. In the injection position, the injection cannula can be uncovered in order to inject the medium. In the safe position, a cannula tip of the injection cannula is recessed in a protective component of the needle guard. A securing device securely fixes the protective component in the safe position. The result is an injection device having a needle guard that can be manipulated intuitively and operated safely.

  • Patent number: 10471247
Abstract: A catheter coupling has a tubing and two jaws extending in the longitudinal direction of the tubing which form a channel having an orifice to accommodate an end section of a catheter when the jaws abut against each other. The jaws are interconnected at a respective jaw end via a jaw joint having a joint axis extending transversely to the tubing. The other jaw end includes a snap-in locking member and a counter snap-in locking member, respectively, interacting therewith to form a snap-in locking arrangement. In the engagement position, the tubing is deformed by at least one jaw deformation component to securely accommodate the catheter. The coupling has at least one inspection window that allows a stop in the tubing for the end section of the catheter to be visually inspected to prevent an end section of the catheter from being introduced into the tubing if it is too short.

The syringe adapter has a fluid delivery channel for creating a flow connection between the inside of the container and the inside of the dosing syringe. At least one ventilation channel of the syringe adapter is used for creating an air connection between the inside of the container and the container surroundings. In at least one of the channels a non-return valve is arranged, which allows the passage of media in an open position and in a closed position closes the channel. This results in a syringe adapter which has improved handing and in particular provides sufficient dosing precision.

  • Patent number: 10279122
Abstract: A medical injection device has an injection unit and an anti-rotation device. Said anti-rotation device is non-rotationally connected to a port and connection portion of the injection device so as to surround the outside thereof in the manner of a sleeve. As a result, an intuitively usable and operationally safe injection device is obtained. When a protective cap for an injection cannula of the injection unit is being removed from the port and connection portion, an unwanted rotation of the port and connection portion relative to the container about components of a plug-in connection arranged therebetween is safely prevented.

  • Patent number: 8679601
Abstract: A medical fluid container of a flexible plastic material is produced as follows: at first, a plastic compound is produced from a heterogeneous mixture of a first, lower-viscosity raw polymer component having a first melt viscosity and a second, higher-viscosity raw polymer component having a second melt viscosity which is greater than the first melt viscosity. Then the plastic compound is extruded. The extrudate is confectioned. Finally, the confectioned extrudate is sealed to form the finished fluid container. A film tubing may serve as intermediate product for the medical container. The medical container or the film tubing thus produced has surface structures with a typical average size of 15 to 200 ?m. The production method requires little effort while fulfilling demanding requirements with respect to the stability of the produced fluid container.

  • Patent number: 8252094
Abstract: A gas exchange membrane is for use in an artificial lung. The membrane consists of a foamed, closed-cell material, in particular of silicone rubber. The membrane is produced by extruding a basic material which contains a foaming agent. The extrudate is then foamed. The result is a gas exchange membrane which has an increased gas exchange performance compared to known material due to the high permeability of the surface.
