Abstract: An automatic door seal assembly for a door is provided. In one aspect, the assembly includes a magnet secured to a surface of a doorway or a floor area within the doorway adjacent to an edge of the door in a closed position. The assembly further includes a door edge assembly configured to mount to an edge of the door and having a base and a sealing strip assembly with a ferromagnetic part. The sealing strip assembly is generally movable between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the base, wherein the magnet transitions the sealing strip assembly to the extended position as the door approaches the closed position to contact and seal against one or more of the surface of the doorway, the floor area within the doorway, and the magnet.
